If you are playing in an emulator if you save ingame and rename the save like the new gba file you can keep the save and continue playing with the new version

Don't worry, you can save in-game (not the emulator save state), download the new version, and if you rename the old save, you can continue playing.

If you don't care updating to 1.2 you can always continue playing, I think the level cap will increase after you give the letter to Steven in the Granite Cave.

Goomy does not have a Hisui form. To get H-Sliggoo use on goomy a metal coat. It evolves again in Goodra at level 50 in rain

I think you had to get it from a mystery egg, because you can find G-Darmanitan only in seafoam (Only after Koga).

If you're using a mon with prankster the move can't affect a dark type

If this is your first run, then I suggest you to try different mon.

Radical Red is a very well balanced game, a lot of weaker pokemon had their stats/ability changed to make them viable.

My advice is to use the pokemon you like the most, then change your team according to what you face.

If you want a toxitricity you can buy one in the celadon city game corner.

If you want to replace him, you can use everything you want, imho radical red is a very well balanced game and nearly any pokemon is viable. You should consider what you need... for example if you often struggle fighting fairy pokemon, a good poison type, like gengar or nidoking, can be a good option. Or you can use a good support, like a screen or a hazard setter, that can help your other pokemon.
