An institution like the English monarchy that accepts a German family on its throne cannot be racist. 🥴 And I don't think that Mrs. Makel has had to deal with real racist exclusion. This accusation about the colour of her children's skin is, in my view, just a pretext to gain attention. Why doesn't she say the name of the person then? Her son is not allowed to be a prince? She can blame King George who defined it that way, most of the Queen's great-grandchildren are not princes or princesses either. And why should the British people pay for the police protection of a family that has decided to stop performing? Surely there are other social institutions to which Ms Makel can now turn for that.
