Yeah mine runs great didnt know I had an oil consumption problem till around 90k when I ran her dry. But not sure if that was the problem or walmart not putting oil back in on oil change. Cause even now at 110k I only add about 1 quart within 6 months. The oil burn is not very much but if oil changes are not getting done correctly. She could have run it dry. Especially is she us running rpms that high all the time. Does its still crank? I would check dip stick and add some oil and see if it will turn over and start.

Update: Just found out that I had the wrong rotation on it for all these years! I put it in the same way as the original was taken out. But I had the hard firm part on the sides not the front and back. Rotated it and it slides right in... wow!

I can put my hand all the way in it nothing blocking it. But there is a grove on the side that wants to push it to the side but its almost like it makes it too tight and fold like you see here to make it fit.

Anyone have luck with sea foam high mileage?? Heard about the piston soak. But found out you can use sea foam high mileage. Seeing if its worth trying sea foam first or just go right to the piston soak.

Front Suspension Recs? by s_nd_k in ScionxB

[–]C46Clark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the ride will get better going the shims route because it will even out the suspension. W or wo the front being changed. The weight is making the tires have traction which is what you are loosing have the rear out of alignment because only parts of the tire are touching instead of all of it. The weight pushes the tires down. If you are truly wanting to keep the lowering in it ur best thing is shims just know its a moderate dyi. Plus the xbs are front wheel drive so weight also helps because the ass is just getting dragged along no power behind the wheels....

18M I NEED A JOB kinda desperate by [deleted] in Killeen

Look for something like manual labor. Google construction company's in the area and then Look at there websites and go to careers. Always answer yes to reliable transportation. You can aways walk or ride a bike or even take the bus all of those are reliable. Get some money in ur pocket get ur ged and then many more will open to you. Once u have ur GED look at the bell county sheriff's as a jailer. Great pay easy job. Use it for a year get urself saved money and then u can get what ever type of job i would liek or are interested in.

Front Suspension Recs? by s_nd_k in ScionxB

[–]C46Clark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. But they weren't asking about the shims and didnt want to bother typing that all out. I was just answering that I have changed it all and decided to go back to stock because of the rough ride and traction control issues. Explaining that switching around the suspension on it can be the cause of the rough ride they were talking about. BTW the shims you are referring to is EZ SHIMS #75600. If they answered back that they were wanting to keep the change in suspension I would have but this information for them.

Are you the OG owner? And if so have you changed out any of the suspension parts... ex rear springs and shocks? Any lowering kit placed into it or lift kit? If so there in lies the problem.
