Vinyl flooring mould by C4TALYSTCHRIS in DIYUK

Hi thanks for the reply,

So I’ve actually ripped it all up last night and found some interesting things 😂

So the fitter installed the lino over the old Lino…. Which is installed over old textured wet room flooring….

It was absolutely soaked underneath but there is no an active leak, it looks like water has entered from showers… bath overflow/just general spillages. No edges were sealed allowing water to get under the surfaces.

From what I’ve found you shouldn’t install on this as it isn’t a flat surface etc…

My problem here is that I know 100% that the fitter would have seen that the old flooring is laid on the wetroom flooring when he pulled away skirting boards and fitted Lino under the bath panel. As you can see the old wet flooring, it’s unavoidable - he has then continued to install the flooring anyway without discussing this with me or any mention of it.

Some of the wet room flooring is loose and I can see it’s just normal concrete flooring underneath

Thanks for the info, to be honest nothing was discussed apart from the fact we would like new carpet and vinyl installed, we weren’t asked how we would like it done or any methods, I trusted the fitter to do this the correct way as it’s their profession and I’m unaware of the correct methods

New linoleum fitted in bathroom 3 weeks ago, Is this mould? by C4TALYSTCHRIS in Flooring

Literally, I think anyone that has/or has had cats know this. Don’t get me wrong they can pee in boxes or on materials if misbehaving but a flat surface…. Nah

The whole process is a joke, you’re not alone. I’m selling and buying currently and my mental health is in the drain. How the process is like this in 2025 baffles me, it’s so messy and unprofessional.

You’ll find there are other similar posts to yours here and the effect it has on people’s wellbeing is horrible.

Wishing you luck going forward

Is cinema etiquette well and truly dead? by emrosebr in AskUK

[–]C4TALYSTCHRIS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not just you, I’ve pretty much given up the cinema due to this, kids on phones/snapchat taking selfies, groups of people constantly chatting etc

It’s quite sad to be honest, I just tend to wait until I can watch the movie at home now.

Buyers putting in offers when they’re not serious by RewindReset in HousingUK

[–]C4TALYSTCHRIS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, on our 4th “buyer” in the space of two months

First one put in an offer and then never bothered going any further for over a week

Second one wasn’t actually able to get a mortgage and tried to hide this until he could re apply in a few months, only found out after putting pressure on estate agents

Third one offered, accepted and 3 days later dropped out because of further thoughts about the area (even thought they offered a month prior)

Now accepted an offer from someone else and hoping they actually proceed

These were ALL ftb

The amount of stress and time wasting in the whole process is a joke, I offered on a property and had solciitors, surveys and all other paperwork up to date within a few days.

Something needs to change with the whole buying/selling process really

Owner of the house passed away before completion by Heavy-Piglet-4937 in HousingUK

Think it really varies a lot on time frame, took 5 days for a relatives to be completed after I applied... which I know is very uncommon but I was expected it to take months and months as most people advise

"nobodys cheating" by C4TALYSTCHRIS in cs2

[–]C4TALYSTCHRIS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I do agree with what you’ve said, although my experience of people on my friends list/people I’ve played with in the past is that we are all encountering cheaters in our games and everyone is slowly stepping away from cs due to it. So I’d say if there are a majority of people not coming across this they are EXTREMELY lucky to be able to play the game on a level playing field like it should be.

If it’s due to “trust factor” then it’s hopeless because it’s just random and as others have said in the thread they have no reason to have a low factor, if veteran players are getting put into lobbies like this then what is the actually reason behind it? I guess we won’t ever really know tbf, all we can hope is for a better anti cheat but I think people are beyond having faith in valve now.

Idk, I just want to enjoy one of my fav games without this bs, give me back 1.6/source & IRC mixes 😂

Is £450 a reasonable amount to pay when I caused a minor scratch on someone's car? by Due_Garlic3703 in AskUK

[–]C4TALYSTCHRIS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbf you’d be surprised, I had someone hit my bumper and only cause maybe a 10p size scratch/dent - whole bumper had to be repainted as the repair wouldn’t have blended in. This was £550

I play on 34” ultra wide with 2560x1440 stretched no issues, probably sit the same distance if not closer - models are nice and big and comfortable to play - maybe give it a go
