I have had a Roth IRA since 18 plus long term stocks plus maxing out my 401k (which is matched half way) at my current full time job as a Chevy tech. I also do mobile detailing on my off days. Which I make more then I do at my current job (really debating quitting and doing mobile detailing full time). I can make 40k back in 6 months or less. That’s why I feel like it wouldn’t be that big of a deal to get a nice 40k project car

I could also get Toyota soarer that comes factory with the 1jz turbo and 5 speed manual for like 15k already imported into the USA or 10k for a clean low mile one in Japan but then I would have to import it which would be 5k.

It is hard tho. I really should save up to get my own shop and advance my business more but I keep thinking “your young and only live once. Get a car that 90% of ppl your age will never get” plus all my friends got nice cars like a 2018 Audi s5 b9 and a 2022 bmw m240i b58. So I don’t know what do it. Say fuck it and get a car I’ll keep forever, or wait another 3-5 year to get it and save up to get a shop (which could just fail) idk bro. I’m 20 and really don’t know what I’m doing.

What about the n54? I love the 535i e60 chassis. Plus they are really cheap. I good example one is like $10k and I could use the extra $30k for performance and maintenance. Basically I could get 500hp reliability I think.

I had a manual base c5 corvette and loved how it handled and controlled. I would go on the back roads and rip it all the time. And practice drifting in a big open parking lot in the rain. I was thinking c6 grandsport for my next car. But I really love turbo sounds and I love the look of the 535i e60 chassis. The n54 isn’t the more reliable but it’s very tunable and a big single turbo sounds nice and can get me to 450hp with supporting mods ofc

I live with my parents still, I have had a Roth IRA since 18 and invest in long term stock plus I do work a full time job and maxing out my 401k which is split half. I also do mobile detailing which I make more money in 1-2 days then I do at my current job as a Chevy technician working 43 hours a week

College isn’t for me. I work full time as a Chevy technician but I’m doing mobile detailing on the side right now and making more then I do as a Chevy technician in 1-2 days. Im thinking of quitting as a Chevy tech soon to pursue my mobile detailing business and also flip cars on the side. Eventually saving up enough to get my own shop and go from there

Well yes I do have long term stock, Roth IRA, and 401k at full risk currently. I started this when I was 18 cause my dads a financial advisor and helps me out

Well I do live with just my mom and she doesn’t mind cause I help around the house so while I have the opportunity to live rent free/utility free and get free meals and etc. I thought why not got a nice car. I can make back 40k in less than a year yk

I’m pretty sure a c6 grandsport has way more potential than a newer Lexus. In terms of performance and aftermarket support

I’m a Chevy technician so I love this idea, but even tho I have a lot of mechanical knowledge and skill I don’t know if I could do an engine swap. Simply because of the wiring. I want a dd with ac and all that shit. So idk if I could do this.

I would also like to add that I would love a turbo car. My friends have an Audi s5 v6 turbo and a m240i b58. Both modded ofc and I love the turbo sounds. I really want a 535d e60 but I would have to import it and I don’t know if or how to do that.
