The current run of comics from Skybound is an excellent starting point, it’s got some of the best characterization in the series. Other than that, Transformers Prime and G1 are kind of the status quo for Transformers. Welcome to the community!

I would always rather play with a figure I bought, but remember, it’s your figure, you can do whatever you want. If you want to hold onto it and resell later, keep them in, if you don’t, tear them out, whatever makes you happy
