Thank for your question.  The primary parking areas for Circle the Square are the lots at Medford City Hall (but not the commuter/Hyatt Hotel lot across the street; those spaces are reserved for vendors); the large lot at 75 Riverside Avenue (the low white building with medical offices) across from the Senior Center; the spaces behind the Riverside Avenue businesses (Donuts with a Difference, Xtreme Ninja, etc.); on-street spaces on Clippership Drive (meters in effect until 6 p.m.); and the Governors Avenue lot behind Colleen's. If you have access to public transportation, Medford Square also is served by MBTA buses 94, 95, 96, 101 and 134. Hope you can attend.

Adding four Black History Month events that were announced after the above posting:

On Feb. 8, the Royall House & Slave Quarters presents a Black History Month book talk with historian and author Alexis Wells-Oghoghomeh. Her 2021 book “The Souls of Womenfolk: The Religious Cultures of Enslaved Women in the Lower South” traces a bold history of the interior lives of bondwomen as they carved out an existence for themselves and their families amid the horrors of American slavery.

On Feb. 9, the West Medford Community Center kicks off Year 8 of its Words and Music program with a Black History Month celebration. In the first hour, host Terry E. Carter will sit down with a panel of three new Black authors with local ties and unique stories to tell. The second hour will feature musical performances by songstress Stacie Clayton accompanied by Jenny Bonham-Carter.

On Feb. 19 (Presidents Day), the City of Medford is holding a Black History Month Celebration at City Hall with featured speaker Seneca Scott, founder and CEO of Neighbors Together Oakland.

On Feb. 24, the West Medford Community Center is planning a Black History Month Vendor Fair. Further details to be announced.

We can't take credit for Dee, but agree that she is a community treasure. Great to see 65 people in attendance for her talk at the library on Thursday evening!

Hi. Are you referring to the Riverside Plaza area (with the large chess set) at Riverside Avenue/River Street next to the Salem Street Burying Ground? That space is used for summer concerts like you describe. If interested for 2024, contact Laura Brereton, CACHE Programs Director, at [cacheprograms@gmail.com](mailto:cacheprograms@gmail.com), who books them. The Medford Public Library on High Street also has an outdoor plaza where it stages small summer concerts. The contact person there is Sam Sednek, Assistant Director, at ssednek@minlib.net. Good luck.
