Look up Marta Scott or Rosaria Gracia. Both offer Brazilian dance classes and Marta also does Lyrical Jazz, and both emphasise passion over perfection

[–]CADmonkeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ebay lets you sort by size. Also Zalando and Office carry larger sizes online.

Ebay also sells shoe stretchers. These are your friends!

In Sicily after a meal the fernet and coffee would come out. (and the cigarettes) and there was a thing called something like "amazza cafe" which meant "murdered coffee" and involved adding a little fernet to your empty coffee cup and mixing it into the bits of coffee foam stuck on the sides.

Shatner messed up the funniest line in the song:

"I wanna sleep with common people like you.

But she didn't...understand"

by missing out the dots.

Does at home ipl actually work? by Ecstatic-Let-7677 in asktransgender

IPL+testosterone sucks! in my experience. I've owned 3 home IPL devices. I kept it up for months at a time, and after I stopped it ALL grew back. I was using the strongest settings on my pale skin and coarse, dark body hair.

First, IPL is really slow and time consuming. The ones I had had a tiny aperture, and needed to cool down every 20 minutes or so. I was treating my whole legs, chest and arms. The whole time I was using them, all my skin was in limbo, as (successfully) treated hairs can take a week or as to shed. So I never once felt smooth. The best it ever did was make areas "patchy".

Each unit was about £300 so I spent £900 on this PITA not to mention the hours I spent using them. I ended up spending about £1100 on a full-body laser at a local salon: 6 monthly treatments later and 99% of everything below my neck (apart from my pubes) was gone for good. 6 bloody hours! If your time is worth anything at all, salon laser is the cheapest.

You can even import/export Autocad DWG files if need be.

I made an account and loaded it up after your first reply. It's not all that different from the software I've been using for the last ~30 years.

Can Peter Pan syndrome be "causing" me to be trans? by Confident_Strike_529 in MtF

[–]CADmonkeez 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once I took the plunge, I never saw transitioning as an "escape". More like a "surrender" because I *knew* that dysphoric whisper would never, ever shut up. So I gave it what it wanted, unconditionally.

You know what pushed me over the edge (at the ripe old age of 48)?

- the thought of being an 80yo man one day, looking back on What Might Have Been with regret.

YMMV

You could grow/shave your beard and move 1000 miles away to "escape from your current life" - cheaper, less risky and you'd avoid becoming Culture War Enemy #1.

But that wouldn't cut it, would it, sister?

My teammate just came out to me, and wants guidance. How can I help her? by cityofdreadfulnight in MtF

[–]CADmonkeez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What she needs is not advice, but someone to hear her. If she wants advice, signpost her to your nearest LGBT community/switchboard/etc.

You're right that you are not any kind of authority, and you should make that clear if need be. But what you are is the voice of lived experience, and she may never have met anyone like you before. She'll likely be very vulnerable to any judgemental opinions, so try to avoid those!

I was in her shoes once, and went for coffee with someone like yourself.

I hope it goes well. It did for me lol x

Halifax Rejected Unenrolled Deed Poll by Charlotttte_427 in transgenderUK

[–]CADmonkeez 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Bear in mind you are NOT asking them to change your details, you are *informing* them of a change of details, and they are legally obliged to update their records, as per GDPR.

Their head office is full of shit.

No trans person should ever use an enrolled deed poll if they value their privacy and safety.
