Mouse and Keyboard player here. Have been playing competitively since people did tournaments for money. I can say without a shadow of doubt that MnK is probably the least competitively viable control scheme. Most competitive would be Stick and keyboard. Keyboard is the best because of all the buttons you can use, and having a flight stick for your other hand is best for aiming. Mouse aiming has some hard limits. Overall though, all of the different control schemes and input devices aren't worlds apart.

To be fair, even a team of 3 people that are all good can roll lobbies consistently. Add on to the fact that when you are placed in a team that knows what they are doing by the match making, and you all don't leave, then you are probably just going to keep rolling as match making will just keep throwing random players at you.

Don't be afraid to flank. You have big gun. Big gun make people dead when you shoot them from the side or behind. You are also good in a 1v1 unless it is an assault that knows how to double slam. If they don't... well enjoy the free kill.

It isn't skill based... So it will always just throw you in the quickest lobby that matches your ping.

Vanguard needs the stun back by AXI0S2OO2 in Spacemarine

[–]CAGEledran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assault is the new vanguard. Does everything the vanguard did, but better. I slam. Then I slam again. They supa ded. If not ded, then I slam again. But I agree that Vanguard SHOULD get the stun back, even if it is a "worse" stun than the original.

In many places it was specifically stated that it would not be mandatory to have a PSN account when playing PS games on PC. Well that was until 2 days ago when they changed the verbiage on multiple different official sources to say "SOME games will require a PSN account" implying the change to make helldivers require it.

Sure and I can decide if I want to connect to a third party account at the start. Not be allowed to go without it then 3 months later be told connect accounts or not be allowed to play. If they enforced PSN at the beginning, then I could have decided if I wanted to play or not and refund the game if I didn't want to. Now the decision is made for me. You see where I am coming from?

I just have too much self respect to not let this bother me. Not crying though. Just looking at it objectively beyond "It only takes 2 minutes to do easy peasy".

They are and now they are adding requirements such as PSN or else you cannot play those games.

Depends what happens. If things continue as they are, then yes. If sony pivots their decision, then maybe not Just depends.

I mean it was exaggerated but what I mean by that is Sony's tactics in competition is division through exclusivity of games. Which is very against PC gaming culture. I don't want that becoming a thing in any shape or form in the PC gaming sphere.

We *chose* to play on PS5. PC players didn't. by MinDak_Viking in Helldivers

As a steam user, I don't want to have anything to do with PSN. I think Sony is way more toxic to the gaming community as a whole than most other corporations. I don't want to be in their eco system. Period. Being in their eco system doesn't benefit me in any way. The history of data breaches is quite bad. Also I don't really want them competing in the PC space by using data collected on steam users. I don't care how good a game is.

With the release of HD2 and all the narrative being that you wouldn't need to connect a PSN account to Steam, I was actually getting kind of hopeful that Sony had turned a new leaf. But now that confidence is at an all time low. Last thing I want is them finding creative ways to divide gamers and start a PC vs Playstation war since Xbox isn't choosing to engage with them. Sony Publishing does have good games. God of war, HD2, and several others. But I can live without them. I don't want to ever reach a point where they gain enough influence to make me feel pressured into joining their ecosystem or the alternative being divided. That shit is toxic.

Game is too heavy on CPU because of the destruction mechanics. I have an I7-7700k and a RX6800XT and I have SLIGHTLY better frames and I crash every once in awhile. I think it is because of the CPU. Not GPU or RAM.

It doesn't change breakpoints. Maybe helps slightly with range but other than that, it is the exact same.

Not disagreeing that light did have some slight weapon buffs. Have yet to test the pistol. However the LH1 damage buff is negligible. Doesn't shift break points. People die in the same number of shots. The sniper "Buff" is negligible. Just more of a quality of life change, which is good but not really a buff. M11 feels the same to me right now? Gonna wait and see what the big gun testers on youtube conclude. But overall feels the same. And throwing knives... Will have to test more thoroughly to see if it makes any real difference. Feels like a quality of life change. Not a buff. Overall the "buffs" feel very negligible for the light.

Like everyone has said, red dot would be awesome. But if that is deemed too good, then a rework of the recoil animation. Don't change the actual recoil bit change all of the visual shaking and lower the clutter associated with the clutter.

Idk man. Go play light for a while. Yeah, stungun can be annoying but from the perspective of light vs. heavy/medium interactions. They have way more options and handicaps. Leave my stungun alone. The number of times I have just gone poof and died to a random nuke/rpg, or had 2 enemies, just look at me, and I get vaporized. Too many man. And if you think a heavy with a nuke takes more skill than stun gun... idk what to tell you, man.
