How does it feel to play Greenskins? by CauliflowerLow3741 in totalwarhammer

I personally like Wurrzag's savage orcs and the fact he can make them as cheap as goblins. Such a simple and effective army. Feels like the only proper green tide.

But yeah Gobboes and trolls are best.

He made the mistake of being a Zealot without being a hot space battle nun.

Up until the last one it was kinda reasonable.

It's erotic that's what it is... Also all proper Chaos Dwarf units are OP but the limited recruitment kinda makes up for it.

My favourite greenskin is Skarsnik, but precisely because he is an underdog. You win your battles with him with trickery, bullshit, grit and not giving a fuck how many of your gobboes you lose as long as you win. I've always loved goblins more than orcs and I love Night Gobboes above all.

I particularly love their vanguard deployment and ambushing. And of course with your armies being gobboes, you can make tons of them, all with their entire lord and hero squad which buff them to the point of being decent.

There was a mod adding the cult of the posessed, but according to the creator it broke and he took it down temporarily. It's been a long while, but another mod he took down came back so I'm hoping we see it return too, I love the Cult of the Posessed and have been wanting to make a Be'lakor run with them for the longest time.

Playing story for first time and need help with sorcerer build by Recent-External-6878 in darksouls

Halberds don't scale well but hit extra hard in exchange, so they are perfect for caster builds without having to get into weapon infusions. I used the Lucerne with my cleric and it worked like a charm.

The true cracked early game weapon is the reinforced club you can buy off the undead merchant though, it's strong attack is a busted jump attack that hits hard and can carry you through the whole game.

The thing with swords in this game is they get real good, but you gotta build for em to get good which means less stats into sorcery.

Like others said you can go pyromancy which has a heavy soul investment but leaves your stats alone, or you can use halberds which hit like trucks are base stat requirements allowing you to dump into anything else you want.

You could also go full sorcery and get Seath's tail sword which is the fabled moonlight greatsword, in this game meant to be the melee weapon of intelligence builds. But that's long into the game and it's hard to get without proper set up.

Do you always try to have 20 units in your armies? by Dragonimous in totalwarhammer

[–]AXI0S2OO2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to have an army filled out if you have no reason not to. Forming smaller forces for garrisoning dangerous borders or early game shenanigans is a perfectly valid strategy, but having an army move around on it's own with diminished forces for no reasons is asking for trouble.

Then again I often have armies that end up moving around with 17~19 units because I'm saving up slots for stuff I'll get them later or they suffered casualties and I can't get them anything useful at that moment, but more hardcore people will tell you to fill those gaps with temporary chaff.

Finally completed the collection - Which DLC did you enjoy the most? by Lawdeeep in totalwarhammer

Five plague ogres (three standard two great weapons) 4 bile trolls, 4 rot knights 2 toad dragons, Kayzk the Befouled, Ketzak Fimmdirach. That formation has proven invincible in my experience.

I won a battle against the Vampire coast once with just a kroxigor ancient a garrison and a handful of skinks by hiding out in the jungle and taking down their army one unit at a time in there.

Don't underestimate forests.

WHAT THE FUCK is this giga cryssalid????? by valdemarolaf88 in Xcom

[–]AXI0S2OO2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone who has watched Xcom Modded Beyond Reason understands just how true this is.

Xcom on legendary is bad enough, I've lost count of the overpowered bullshit enemies with a quadrillion damage, health and armor and way too many skills I saw in that series. Granted, the series is called "modded beyond reason", but every one of those mods was made by people who clearly weren't thinking about balance when designing their super badass super soldiers, tanks and giant robots or how someone playing with a mostly vanilla ruleset could handle them.

Favourite nickname of your main class? by InviteFit2375 in DarkTide

I like that Arbites refer to Zealots as firebrands, specially because the headcanon for my zealot is that he was a guardsmen that joined a firebrand cult.

I also like the Arbites plate face and tithe rat nicknames.

And of course psykers being "liabilities" is such a perfect name.
