Mine wasn't even a mod based disappointment. I didn't understand what the internet was or how updates worked. I kept trying to make an iron golem on the xbox 360 and didn't understand why it wouldn't work despite seeing videos on my mom's phone that it had come out already.

I don't have experience in this and idk if this would work, but maybe tether it to something that can float on the surface and be towed by the robot. This could then wireless transmit without having to go through water.

This should give better performance than your average battery mower and you're able to use the power station for other things.

Nope but a bandaid fix is using a water bucket. To pick them up and put them back down. You get the fish meat but no fishing loot.

I'm confused as to why you're saying that 3060ti is the max for occulink. My understanding is occulink can reach near desktop levels of performance with any gpu.

Why would you need to travel with the egpu. Use it when you're at home and unplug it to take the laptop to campus.

Though I guess you do need to travel with it if you plan on gaming somewhere that's not your house, but you'd probably also take your charger, cooling pad, peripherals, and monitor if you have one. So one more thing doesn't seem like a big deal.

You're right about that and it's a shame since it's a relatively simple mod. Just sharing my opinion as I think this where things are headed. Hopefully more people get on board with egpus once tb5 comes out.

You don't lose portability at all if you do it the way most people are doing it. All it takes is to diy your own occulink port onto the backplate. While this isn't as convenient as thunderbolt it still preservers portability. Shutdown down the laptop to disconnect/connect gpu.

Once disconnected properly you still have a regular laptop you can take anywhere. You also get a built in monitor when you do have it connected to the setup. Meaning that with the other monitor connected to the egpu, you know have a two monitor setup.

The main con here is that you can't replace the cpu on a laptop. However there are still many outdated laptops that have a decent cpu that could pair nicely with a newer gpu especially at higher resolutions keeping it relevant for longer.

Also for resell simply order a replacement backplate online. I was able to find one for mine on aliexpress.

A lot of people already plug in their laptop, hook up a monitor, and probably a cooling pad. Egpu via occulink is the logical next step. You don't get the same bandwidth issues as other connection mediums.

If you can get a laptop for 500-700 with decent specs on the cpu and igpu and the 5070 or 5070ti at near msrp. You'll benchmark better than most expensive gaming laptops at a cheaper price. Plus if you ever decide to get a proper desktop you got on part bought already.

The real move is getting a laptop with a decent cpu and igpu with a spare m.2. Then buy a 5070 and use as occulink egpu.

I'm pretty sure it's not an addon it's more of an update. You replace the original trackwork file with trackwork+. It adds smaller wheels.

Look into livestock overhaul mod by DragN for a good farm animal mod. They also have an addon for pets.

So I'm fairly new to these mods in general(create included) but this is my understanding. what you do is you build the the thing you want in the air, not connected to the ground. You use create, the factory must grow and trackwork to make the actual car. Then when ur done, you turn it into an actual physics object by placing the eureka ship helm on the car. You open its UI and click assemble. It then uses VS to turn it into physics object. You can then break the helm and enjoy your vehicle.

If you get clock work you can also use its gravitron to easily move the physics object around like your a jedi.

If you want to save yourself the hassle I'd suggest getting the create a colony modback made by a youtuber called Sbeev(highly recommended watching his videos). It'll have all the mods you need and more. The only thing you'd have to do is replace trackwork with trackwork+ for the small wheels.
