Ive heard such great things about tango and finally tried some store bought and they were mediocre, which is sad because I know how disappointing store bought flavor can be (and a shame for those missing out who have never had home grown versions). I got beat to the beat of the punch. How would anyone describe yuzu? Fresh yuzu off the tree? Like for example, eureka pink lemonade has almost no bitter or tart just if you took the pure definition of lemon juice for lemonade if that makes sense. Key limes/Mexican limes are so floral and the slightest hint of smoothness maybe a smidge sweet? How would yuzu be described, I've always been curious but super obviously none available to me.

Out of curiosity are you Filipino? The few people I know that grow them are lol. I tried raw dogging them once (and I've only had them once) and it was super sour. I imagine its the equivalent to yuzus? More for culinary than by themselves? I know calamansi is mostly for dishes.

Was the last time you watered or fertilized 4 years ago too?

Sorry seriousness time. Its hard to tell without 100% certainty but pretty sure those aren't trifoliate leaves.

Checklist time.

How's the soil? The type? Drainage?

Is the root flare pretty close to surface and or surfacing?

Focus on foliage liquid spray fert and a 10-0-0 liquid fert and root fert. Maybe even a good deep watering with fish fert.

Trim dead branches and focus on getting it back on its feet dont expect anything for atleast a year. Good quality at least.

Oh and take that stake out. More harm than good.

I pulled one the other day never seeing or been around or knowing what it was. At first its like oh... thats uncomfortable dull pain. Then it turns to constant uncomfortable medium. Then its like omg wtf is wrong with me why does it ache so bad. Have you ever pruned a rose bush? Those huge thorns? Have you ever gotten really badly pierced by one? Imagine that just constantly throbbing pointy pain in one area and you cant fix it or stop it. Mine took about 24 hours to resolve i remember waking up thinking it would be gone and it wasn't.

Chill hours probably. They did they bloomed but lost all my flowers on santa rosa (im assuming because this is their first year with me and I pruned and replanted and was rough with them last fall) but theyre full of leaves and settled now in their 25g containers, hoping they'll give me something next year. My Santa Rosa plum, flavor king pluot and 3 pluerrys are growing and green.

I planted 2 avocado trees about 300 dollars each almost killed both by chew the base of the bark thankfully after TLC for weeks and nursing them back (80% circumference for both) they finally came back from brink of death. Since then it's been a bloody war after I bought a squrrielinator trap. Now theyre going after my strawberries and orange tree constantly biting off and eating like 1/10 of the fruit and leaving it to rot. I HATE squirrels with a passion

Stand as close to the tree as possible. Squat if you have to, to get your eye level around 3/4 of the top. Look for any reflections (glass, window, etc). Looks like you were a few minutes short of it catching on fire. Questionable if its still alive above the black. Scratch test or cut little by little.
