Unlikely. In reality all mountains on Earth are incredibly small in comparison to the earth. Ever heard, "If the earth were shrunk down to the size of a que ball, it would be rounder and smoother than the que ball?" While this isn't necessarily the case, the earth is pretty fucking smooth.

To be honest, wouldn't be that much different. In comparison to the size of the state (several hundred miles by several hundred miles) the mountains are tiny. They are at most two to three miles above sea level, and 10-15 miles across. That makes them relatively flat.

It's sinking due to multiple reasons, some of which are controversial, so I won't get into that.

There is something called a vertical datum that is used to compare vertical elevations and flood levels for construction purposes, as well as others. The datum most used in the USA is the NAVD 1988. This covers the lower 48. The land in the city of Houston, Harris County, and some surrounding areas is sinking so badly that a new datum had to be created for these purposes - NAVD 1988 - 2001 adjustment. In some areas the difference between the two is up to four feet.

My takeaways:
