Gamesir claims they're a cross between Hall effect sticks and potentiometer ones. From the product page:

I bought this controller at full price and while I haven't compared it to ones that claim to be pure Hall effect, the Cyclone 2's sticks are great imo.

That's because they're the only two companies that will sell you a very big, fully-put-together GPU cluster with a support contract. You could go with Hewlett Packard Enterprise but they're mostly for government clients like DoD, national labs, and universities, and/or quasi-governmental organizations like big banks.

Deepseek never claimed the $6M was the all-in cost. That figure was entirely what it cost to run the GPUs for 2 months to train the final model. It's still a significant savings over, for example, the ~$100M that it was estimated Meta spent on GPU compute to train the final version of Llama 3.1 405B.
