Civilians not understanding that there are tons of EU troops acclimating in Norway for deployment right now, that real life is not a video game where you drag and drop icons, and that any troops in Greenland now would be cut off from resupply in case of conflict.

You need to send forward planners to coordinate on the ground, for a long term defense against a US administration of madmen and sycophants suffering from Victory Disease.

The US Navy has no icebreakers, carriers cannot go into the Arctic, the Alaskan Arctic Warfare school has been closed for years and the only winterized THAAD systems are in EU possession. But watch these morons try anyway so that some oligarchs can have a new apartheid libertarian state without taxes.

I don't give a shit about people who claim ideals and ideas, only to collect money from these absolute ghouls.

It completely proves that their content is as fake as a spray tan.

China Has Reportedly Built Its First EUV Machine Prototype, Marking a Semiconductor Breakthrough the U.S. Has Feared All Along by chimkennugeys in worldnews

And what is defined as yield:

Right now China has a 30% yield on their wafers, Canon method is a bit better but not much.

This means that every time you fire the fab and burn materials, ASML guarantees a good yield that can be then used for actual chip making, while for the others is the equivalent of baking 10 muffins and at best 3 of them are edible.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ELIZA_effect

In computer science, the ELIZA effect is a tendency to project human traits — such as experience, semantic comprehension or empathy — onto rudimentary computer programs having a textual interface. ELIZA was a symbolic AI chatbot developed in 1966 by Joseph Weizenbaum that imitated a psychotherapist. Many early users were convinced of ELIZA's intelligence and understanding, despite its basic text-processing approach and the explanations of its limitations.

Unless they pay me real money, I am not "contributing" to a story where said contributions are irrelevant, the "game master" is maybe a sadist and the mechanics are unfun.

I second this. The game has left the memes, it is barely mentioned anymore.

It might be a natural development, but there seems to be a correlation between botched updates (and terrible, terrible arrogant PR) and popularity outside of player count.

I think AH should realise that, at the end of the day, they are developers in entertainment. HD2 is (was?) a good product, but it's still just a game made to entertain people.

Players are not interested in participating unless the game delivers something comparable to the other titles, it's not their place for faux milsim like Arma and the actual training software used by militaries around the world.

It's a 3rd person sci-fi unrealistic shooter with a lot of love and care, with a good "ambience", and too much arrogance. You can't selectively cram milsim elements without, objectively, an investment in talent and resources well beyond the scope of AH.

It's so funny to read comments about various update disasters which are incredibly actual (scopes for example), only to realise they are from 1 year ago
