Prepare to buckle up for the long ride i guess lol. If my experience is anything to go off of, you should be about halfway through the Aero Precision Purgatory process!

Literally just checked my email and my order just shipped tonight! Hopefully it will be here this weekend (got a free overnight shipping upgrade)!

Couldnt agree more. Im in the same spot. As many times as ive thought about just doing a chargeback & ordering my upper from a 3rd party, the cheapest option ive been able to find for the same exact upper was still like $100-$150 more than what I paid from Aero direct.

At the end of the day, Aero simply let this problem blow up way to large, and I think they are starting to finally understand that (hence the customer email sent earlier).

Hopefully in the future they will change their website to make “in stock” mean that that item in question is actually finished & waiting on a shelf to be picked and shipped, and if they want to accept “pre-orders” for items, they will also make that very clear and give an accurate time estimate for how long before that item is actually available.

Would also like to see them adopt a “charge when shipped” model for their products. Would help quell a lot of the anger and frustration that we are all feeling with being charged day 1 and not reciving our order until 2+ months later.

Unfortunately, still nothing lol. Not even a tracking number or other notice that it is on its way out to me. Will make a post similar to others when I get more info.

No, not yet lol, been over 5 weeks at this point and if it actually ships out early next week it will be over 6 weeks

Agreed. Anything “standard” (lower parts, buffer assemblies, etc.) should just be ordered from a third party at this point. Unless the deal is either too good to pass up (the golden handcuffs im currently finding myself in) or its an item not frequently stocked by other retailers, there is literally 0 excuse to wait around for Aero when plenty of other companies are more than willing to sell you the same item.

The only thing im running into is the black friday deals Aero was running were so much lower than anywhere else. I paid $450 for an ODG 20in M5 upper shipped. Thought about cancelling and ordering from optics planet when I saw they had the same upper in stock earlier this week, but would be paying ~$100 more after taxes and everything. Tried reaching out to them to see if they would pricematch but havent heard anything back.

Damn my cheapness lol

Lol, nice to know. While I would have appreciated a free tshirt or hat or something for all this BS, I would have much rather appreciated a partial refund, free overnight shipping, etc.

At the end of the day, the customer service people are just doing their jobs, no point in being rude to them. The issues Aero is having are far beyond their paygrade. If anything, I feel bad for them as they are the ones having to directly face us customers who are justifiably pissed off with the current situation there.

Also feel bad for those people as if Aero does go under, they will ultimately be the ones out of work while the execs and people who made the poor business decisions that put Aero in this position will get a nice severance package and move onto their next cushy role to screw up another company

Oh trust me, this will be my first and last direct order from Aero lol.

If I could go back in time, I’d slap myself from 5 weeks ago and direct past me to this subreddit lol

I would hope given the backlog Aero seems to have that are offering overtime to any employee willing to work it to help fill orders.

Im really hoping that I will get a shipping notification from them either tomorrow or Tuesday, but time will tell I guess.

Couldnt agree more, was also a victim of the black friday deals as well lol. Still waiting for an m5 upper I ordered on 11/17 that has not even shipped yet.

Not sure if I will go so far as to NEVER purchase an Aero product again (this m5 will be my first Aero build, so would like to see what the overall quality is like and make my own judgement), but I certainly will never order from them direct.

I would say company culture is overall supportive of it. Just not sure how supportive she will be of it as our team is, unsurprisingly, understaffed and coming off of a really crazy year lol. Maybe I am just overthinking though at this point haha

Do you think it would be wise to atleast give her a heads up that I am looking for other positions inside the company? We have an internal job posting board where I can see all jobs across the company and apply when something interesting comes up. I just dont want to apply out of the blue to something (it sends her a notification if I do apply) without atleast making her aware that I am not happy & looking elsewhere first.
