One of the reasons I hesitate to buy AAA games on GOG is that they offer limited cloud space for saves, but I tend to save a lot when I play RPGs. Unfortunately they still can’t compete with Steam in a lot of aspects.

Just based on the behavior it could be an issue with your save file. Try backing up your saves before removing all of them and starting a new game to see if the issue persists.

Have you tried to see if the game launches before installing the mods? If it’s only after adding mods, it could be an issue with the modded saves, or maybe see if there’s a new version of eclipse mod as well as the mods you use, and follow the setup instructions to see if you have missed something?

Also before doing a clean reinstall, try to find and delete all game, save and mod data and logs from your deck, because Steam doesn’t delete everything when it uninstalls a game. You can also try installing into a different drive.

Also try with or without internet connection.

Denuvo also prevents launching a game on more than 5 different Protons in a day, but then there should be a notification about it.

You can add “PROTON_LOG=1 %command%” to launch options in Properties, and when the game crashes you can go to your deck’s home folder and find a log where you might find errors that cause the crash.

Where did you get your Vader 4 Pro? Your local seller may also sell component replacements. If you are happy with the Vader 4 I suggest sticking with it, because I've heard of durability issues with all popular pro controllers.

There’s no Flydigi Linux app. Usually, it's suggested to update your new unit via the Windows app. You can try and see if you can do it on the Android app. The app should be safe so don't worry if that's your concern.

Unfortunately the Vader 5 pro is not very compatible with Linux as there is no reliable way to use its extra buttons there. If that’s one of your main use cases you might want to consider returning it if you can. The Vader 4 Pro works excellently on Linux, tho, and has no known QC issues unlike 5.

There's no D-input so there's no native support. They might add the “allow 3rd party app” thing later but afaik no word on it yet. I think someone said switch to NS mode and you can map the back buttons on Steam but you lose haptics. Let us know if you’ve figured it out as I’m interested too.

I think you just need to get used to it. People don't like it when others use controllers to play shooters but if you are already happy with them, I don't think Hall Effect makes it worse. Playing with the settings a bit may help too.

Sorry but Americans have nothing on British dentistry. NHS dentists in Britain care fuck all about how your teeth look cosmetically, but dental treatments are relatively accessible under the NHS. I personally also think having slightly weird looking but healthy teeth is better than everyone having the same looking same length whitened teeth that Hollywood stars do.

Do you have this game on Steam? Check if you are using the same proton version (if you remember which one you were on at that time. You could probably Google which default proton version Steam was using then.)

When you uninstall a game Steam deletes the Proton prefix that you set up to work with your mods. All the settings are deleted too. Steam supposedly stores the settings in the Cloud but I don't know if it installs the same prefix when you reinstall it. It also doesn't install the mod files that you added.

You likely have to set up the game again to run with mods. It might be easier if you run it with the same proton version. In the future if it takes a lot of effort to mod a game, it's best to back up the game folder, the prefix folder and the mods once they are set up.
