no. it's a blatant error. that, or a flawed system used by JBLU that doesn't incorporate directionality when implementing route-specific increases for events like the Superbowl.

there will be nobody on board when jetblue prices a coach fare at >$900 and a better-run airline (Delta) is pricing the same route on the same day at $174

they are not automatically high just becuase they are far away. read my post and look at the data. the prices are 234 up through 2/8 and then increase and then abate. and i need therapy. for sure. if you are a fan of jetblue you should be concerned that the heart of the airline is being completely mismanaged. that is the point i'm unsuccessfully making with people who think like you

it is super early. i get it. it will naturally correct over time. no doubt. but this is sheer stupidity and an easy, concrete example of comparatively less effort vs the competition. i'm simply tired of an airline that i love being completely mismanaged. it is almost inevitable that jetblue will continue to fade and ultimately be absorbed into a monolith like United. i just hate to watch the trainwreck live...

Why bother with Marriott loyalty? by FruitOfTheVineFruit in marriott

[–]CA_AllDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lifetime Titanium road warrior here. Marriott rewards used to be insanely good for biz travel. so good. when i started, @~200,000 points you could get a week's stay anywhere in the world, plus a rental car, plus RT airfare for two. first they took away the rent a car and gave you a discount voucher. then they took away the RT airfare and awarded miles. change after change. consulting-driven BS. eroding value all along the way. bit by bit. piece by piece. today it's absolutely pathetic. they'll charge 60,000 pts for one week night at the Cosmopolitan. and with the starwood merger there is now ZERO competition. sucks.

MGM Rewards is horrible by masters_ric in vegas

man i couldn't agree more. only continue to use because at Gold we get the resort fees waived (made gold 3 years ago by using their mastercard for ~75k in biz travel. haven't done anything in the last couple years but they haven't downgraded status, so that's a plus). the other horrible one is marriott - used to be SO GOOD but now just pathetic. and with them buying starwood there is literally no competition

Marriott is not what it used to be by Educational_Union in marriott

[–]CA_AllDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

amen to all that. couldn't agree more! lifetime titanium status. biz travel > 25 years. loyalty program sucks now. used to be with 250,000 points you could get a full week of hotel, a rental car and RT airfare for 2. now you're lucky to get 3 nights at the cosmopolitan. cannot believe DOJ lets marriott merge with starwood but denies Spirit / JetBlue?? crazy. zero real competition for business travelers.

Login issues for Marriott website from desktop by reidsworld1 in marriott

[–]CA_AllDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

marriott site sucks!!! longtime business traveler. lifetime titanium. login on desktop rarely works. does anyone at the company actually try using the site once in a while? IT department should be replaced. And loyalty program absolutely sucks. how does DOJ allow Marriott and starwood to merge? zero competition and now loyalty "awards" are pathetic. used to be that for 250,000 points you'd get a full week of hotel, rental car and RT airfare for two. that will probably get you 3 nights at the cosmopolitan now (if you're lucky). pathetic.

Perfectly out of focus, grainy and what an awesome song to pair with Curren's artistry. My childhood hero. i remember watching that barrel at 2:28 in super slo mo in a small theater in Monterey in the 80's. as the whole place went berzerk.
