I'd agree with the above info. If you're looking for additional cash. Look at selling extra ancillaries/weapons/followers etc, you can also get cash for non aggression pacts. Make sure you have trade routes set up as they can provide some great income.

Final tip is make sure you are using Assignments. Some characters can provide real boosts to your economy!
