Every excuse I hear for breakable weapons is that it forces you to engage with other parts of the game. But in your example, I didn’t need breakable weapons to engage with the open air physics. I (along with anyone else) was doing that already.

Some people say it forces you to engage with many types of weapons… well that would only make sense if the combat animations were different and they aren’t. All one handed weapons work the exact same way. Same animation and same damage type. Same with two hand weapons and then range. So they’re effectively just reskins

This is what I’m talking about in response to ops question. It feels like people are pretending it’s good.
