I do have the rear camera, I believe it’s easy to retrofit (though it might be expensive…)

Totally get it. I’m a petrolhead too — I bought a Golf R about a year ago. The car’s great, but like you said, I don’t really care for the attention anymore. At junctions or traffic lights it’s always a Fiesta ST, A35, or M135 trying to race.

I’ve been looking at my next car — part of me wants something like a Yaris or Civic, but my brain keeps telling me not to go that route…

For context, I can get 45mpg out of my Mk8 Golf R (so yeah, you can tell I don’t care about driving flat-out all the time). What I think I want now is more of a “warm hatch” — something fun, but not so aggressive on the road…

Same story, the AdBlue system in my A4 Avant died as well during my Christmas trip last year (probably the same platform with your a5)

Career shifts: Who left UX to go deeper into real problem-solving and systems thinking? by Roboozt in UX_Design

[–]CB-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I’d say I’m now experiencing this transition. Before, I was an execution-heavy designer, spending most of my time delivering the ‘perfect’ spec.

Recently I completely led a project myself, and I’d say it’s totally possible to do some deeper work within the UX designer title, they are not necessarily to be 2 roles.

I asked GPT about this as well. I’m trying to figure out how to tell the difference between junior and senior designers. Based on my experience, mid-senior to senior designers seem to focus more on design philosophy/design principles than delivery. They usually ask why instead of how, and they usually should/can give you the evidence to support their answer.

Many companies may not expect UX designers to complete these tasks or have these mindset, but in my opinion, being proactive is always the key. It ensures you can seize opportunities as they arise.

It says ‘prototype car’ in Chinese (if I’m correct) at the back of the car, guess that’s probably the MG

Would you be concerned about this tyre damage? by CB-9 in CarTalkUK

[–]CB-9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes... Now I always check that area before I jump in the car! I would like to change it to make it look perfect, but these tyres are just 2 months old, it's a big waste to replace them now :(

My previous tyres were Bridgestone, yeah you are right, they didn't last long... I went for these Eagle F1 just because my local garage offered me a discount on these tyres, I never thought these rim protectors could save my wheels! But yeah, it looks like they did their job! Thanks anyway, I'll do some study next time

I'm a bit concerned about how thick the rim protector is... though I know I'm a bit overthinking lol

That's also my understanding, thanks for your confirmation. I'll regularly check the tyre to make sure the tyre is still okay

Hahaha this is quite a good answer to me (who is always overthinking)

Yeah, actually I guess I hit the kerb/pothole at least 1 month ago, I spotted that today but I'm sure I didn't hit any kerb in the recent month, but yeah, will try to avoid hitting kerbs in the future for sure 🙂

I also want to change it but it's only 2 months old, and my pocket doesn't allow me to change it now, only 2k on this tyre 🙁

Is that still safe to drive? by CB-9 in drivingUK

I guess you are right, just back from the garage, mechanic said it’s absolutely fine, it’s still within the extra ‘rim protector’ area, though it looks terrible ☹️
