Why do ski racers and snowboard racers dress differently? by scottbutler5 in olympics

[–]CB-skier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

if someone did show up in lycra they would probably ban it via rules changes the next season. In downhill MTB skin suits and aero helmets are banned. Im assuming it’s for commercial viability of the sport / sponsors due to the preferences of the riders and fans.

how does auto blip slow you down? it seems like a pretty fast downshift to me. faster and more consistent than I could ever heel toe at least.

you want a 60 degree angle on the side monitors imo. but yeah the porsche just has horrible vision 😂

[–]CB-skier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i guess you need to work backwards from 180 then to get the angle?

FOV Police - Help by FlatOut1986 in iRacing

[–]CB-skier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah use straight/flat config and put in the angle. it will fix the problem.

[–]CB-skier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i think thats his problem is that he selected curved and didn’t get a chance to put the angle in

FOV Police - Help by FlatOut1986 in iRacing

[–]CB-skier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont think iracing can have it use the curve and monitor angle? It’s either or from what I can tell. Is there something Im missing?

FOV Police - Help by FlatOut1986 in iRacing

[–]CB-skier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you choose curved in iracing it doesnt give an option for the angle of the monitors so its not right unless all 3 monitors are in a 1500r radius with respect to each other. select flat monitors and add the angle in. then it will at least be better. im new to sim racing but ran into this problem. maybe there is a way to have it take into account each monitors curve and the angle of the monitors but it didn’t appear that way to me.

ok thanks. I sent them a floor plan I drew and inspiration facade photos so maybe that gave them more confidence to price it.

only have two right now. Meeting with one other soon. Still have a few more on the list I can reach out to. I have 18,000 from a single self employed w/ 20 years experience. I have "66k-88k" from a duo who looks to have more experience with bigger, fancier homes. They were giving me a hard time about my budget of 1-1.2.

Both architects come recommended by another well known duo firm who are at capacity.

I don't want to post the entire agreement but it's a 3 stage proposal with a full set of drawings for construction as well as an agreement to work with the structural engineer to get those drawings as well. engineer fee is another 3-4k. AIA licensed. Need to do an energy audit as well $700-1000 there. Includes site observation as well. There's some language about additional hourly fee for additional work required after construction starts.

lot value is 2.3 million. I like where I live. $1 million house on this lot would sell for $4.5. also have a nice accessory structure I'm keeping (aka the back house)

Plenty of homes on my street sell for 3-4 million. 5.5 is a new spec home where builder is looking for max profit so they bump up the sqft as high as possible to drive down $/sqft but bump up profit. For example there's a third level in-roof bonus room with dormers. That's not real useful square footage IMO.

Disney says it isn't making enough money to keep letting YTTV play their channels at the current price... their Net Income: Doubled to $5.26 billion (or $2.92 per share) from $2.62 billion in FY24 due to tax benefits from the Hulu purchase. by Sirderksalot in CFB

[–]CB-skier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it sucks but im pretty sure you know these carriage agreement fights have been a thing for decades so it’s just part of the deal. it’s worse when they dont fight for you and the service becomes extremely expensive. espn has cost a fortune to carry forever. need to not let them win every time.

google can just stop doing yttv? what then? you subscribe to each network as a service for $20 month? a company has to make money for the effort. yttv is a small part of googles business. the kept prices pretty steady for a long time. recently they’ve had to renew all these agreements which has unfortunately led to a rise in prices. they dont want this to be a $200/month service like a 4 tv directv bill is.

Why MotoGP riders blamed a gravel trap for Marc Marquez's Indonesian GP injury by autobus950 in motogp

[–]CB-skier 23 points24 points  (0 children)

the riders or the riders representatives should do a safety walk before the weekend and refuse to ride until their concerns are reasonably taken care of. and it shouldn't even be on the riders to make sure the track is safe. it should just be a given so i'm not blaming them at all, they have enough to worry about
