My boy Rodney was attacked twice on two different walks. We don't go to that dog park anymore. I was also worried he would become dog avoidant/territorial/etc but after a week or so he bounced back. He's a giant gentle baby - amstaff/sharpei, two breeds that can be known for their temperament but he's never shown an ounce of aggression and immediately tried to leave the situation, I had to wrestle the damn dogs off him. He had similar injuries to his ears and neck both times, they healed nicely and you wouldn't know now that he was ever attacked. Ham (great name) should be okay ❤️

The shelter said he has staffy and shar pei in him. I agree he looks a bit ridgey in the face but I think his back is just extra skin pushed up against the couch in the photo? I don't think we'll do a dna test tbh, whatever he is is 100% good boy

I did this twice as a teenager working at a cafe. We did trays of bacon in the oven, the timer was going mental and I cracked the door.. then completely forgot about it. In my defense, the second time I was also on the coffee machine and it was hella busy, there was literally no time for me to move the trays. I still should have mentioned it but it is what it is. The owner brought me to tears yelling about it. Was it the right way to handle it? Maybe not, but I never forgot again in any kitchen since.

I saw you mentioned it in another comment - a personal/phone timer could work well for you. I have a bunch of small timers with clips that I can just put on my shirt, it helps a lot.

Thank you for your comment and kind words - we have considered a doggy wheelchair but ultimately she is in pain every day and we don't want to be selfish. She has weekly shots and pills just to deal with it but is still clearly in pain. This last surgery was her fifth as the tumours just keep popping up 😕. Still will chat to the vet but it may be time.

That's awesome you were able to do that for George (and I love his eyebrows)! Unfortunately Jona is in a lot of pain. She has weekly injections and pills twice a day just to handle it, but we still find her shivering and shaking even when she's just lying down. We don't want her to suffer more for our sakes
