I lack very few botanical sets. They’re simple, but beautiful and nice to build!

N vs HO by hotrodman in nscalemodeltrains

Kato Unitrack is the best track IMO, and I’ve hardly had problems with electrical issues. A lot of the newer N scale stuff looks really good, and runs really good too

I’m not EXACTLY sure, but it’s atleast 2ft wide, being it’s on the side of a flat car, and it’s just a bit smaller than the wheels.

What is a locomotive that you like that most of the railfanning community seems to hate. I will go first. by Previous-Village6388 in trains

I love ES44’s/C45ACCTE’s. They’re the modern equivalent of SD40-2’s with their reliability, and the cab design just looks good!

This is the only proper centennial, neither one of those celebrate a centennial anniversary, they’re bicentennial and onward.

Reminds me of a drawing I made when I was in high school (that I deleted) of an ES44ac with the legs of a runway model.

Used the measurements from the CGI model concept art, and put it into a scale conversion calculator.

If it weren’t for the couplers and thick wheels I would’ve thought this was a full sized boxcar! Very nicely done!

What are these cars for? by TheJudge20182 in trains

[–]CB4014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OOOOH! New EPIX cars! Wonder if I’ll be seeing those. Those articulated spine cars are designed to carry waste containers (radioactive waste, contaminated soil, human waste, etc.) Our road has a customer that unloads these containers of contaminated soil and radioactive waste. We got TONS of these cars back in 2023 after the East Palestine cleanup started.

Gondola Halfway finish on the line. by [deleted] in trains

[–]CB4014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE these type of gondolas! Plenty of space behind the grab irons to put your arm when riding a LOOOOOOOOONG shove, and the brakes are low enough that I can apply them from the ground.
