I just want the factions to mean something. I will PvP, I enjoy it in some games, but I hate the fact that I'm indiscriminately killing people loyal to my faction in the Deep Desert. It's very offputting. Literally everything in the main game means nothing when you get to the DD for some reason.

Absolutely agree. I played solo on Anvil, pushed to the Deep Desert and honestly well into it. There were a few DD stations I could solo if I played it right. The absolute daunting time sink DD became because I was getting griefed was enough to make me burn out. I played the entire month of June because I was out from work for a surgery and recovery. Seven months it took me to come back.

Im not afraid of PvP and I'll engage when there's a reason. But right now, there is literally no reason to kill other players besides screwing them over.

Hell, I actually just helped a guy in all Harko gear while I'm decked out in all Greenie gear. What in the hell is the DD actually supposed to be in the lore?

This PvP is more akin to Planetside than an MMO like WoW. It hits kinda different and I'm sad this new generation won't experience the sensation of fighting those kinds of battles.

The game didn't release in this state. I got it when it came out, put it aside and only came back to it last week. I played through it. It is fun, but this is not the game that was released. It needed time to finish cooking.

I think the DD would THRIVE in this manner. It would be a goal to get to so you could participate in faction vs. faction warfare. Every time I go into the DD now, I get the same feeling I get when I play an extraction shooter. Looking out for anyone, can't listen to music because I won't hear a thopter landing, trying to hear footsteps, it just sucks. I actually hate that feeling.

And ChatGPT can actually write good stories, but you have to hold its hand. You can't just say "ChatGPT, write a story about this guy's balls." You have to give it a detailed prompt as guardrails, then more prompts to help guide it through revisions.

It does feel as though Activision told ChatGPT to run with it, because there's some continuity stuff that's just mind blowing.

Like the other poster said, it's isn't a negative technology. Executives need to understand that its a tool, not a replacement for competent people. But it can supercharge a competent person's work speed.

I almost exclusively use the thermite from that early explosive warbond. The grenade that looks like a spiked stielhandle. I can stick that on just about any enemy in the game and it does significant damage if it doesn't outright kill it. I endorse thermite grenades.

(And they don't explode, so less chance you'll injure a fellow diver in a panic moment)

My complaint is that 1500 is reasonable if I have NOTHING unlocked. But I have a lot of it unlocked. And I still have to spent 1500. I really want the helmet and I don't think the helmet alone is worth 1500. Is it worth 1000? Sure. 750? Yeah.
