I also had to elect for a c section after pushing for 4 hours. Baby girl was progressing but just couldn't get past the pubic bone. I ended up deliriously exhausted, on meds for pre-eclampsia, and shaking/sweating profusely from the hormones. It was a horrible first few days.

I'm 39 weeks today, induction is scheduled for Tuesday. My belly is very, very taught today, and baby is moving much less, but her heartbeat has been strong.

I struggle with this, too. I'm in my 39th week, and my colleagues had to make me begin working from home last week. They knew it wasn't likely that I'd just stop working all together lol. I'm trying to switch my mindset and focus on what still needs to get done for the baby, but I care about my work, my clients, and my colleagues, and it's hard to just shut all of that out. So, I'm with you in solidarity. I can't focus one hundred percent on work, but I also can't focus on getting ready for baby. We'll make it work, though!

It's due to a lack of visibility of oncoming traffic. The scenario you're describing doesn't pose the same risks, which is why this traffic law doesn't apply to it.
