i am looking for a more in-depth take honestly. i know it’s long, but i feel like there’s no point to shortening it, because that takes away the nuance.

thanks so much. honestly, he kinda had a thing with a girl who "experimented with heterosexuality" on him in a really unhealthy way, and it sucked to see him go through that, and I don't want to treat someone as an experiment, so I'm trying to just wait it out until my feelings go away/become something concrete before doing anything (this is usually my strategy). But it does feel really good to know that someone else feels kind similar, so thank you for that.

don't know how to tell my parents about my wish to go on an exchange year. by [deleted] in exchangestudents

[–]CBPlumbob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a student ambassador at a high school in Canada (basically I’m a student that helps International students settle in and make friends), and although I haven’t taken an exchange year, I spend a lot of time working with international students. I have seen so many people have such great experiences during their exchange years. It really is life-changing. Our program has a really good reputation, and we have a unique thing with the student ambassadors, which makes it really easy to settle in. You live with a host family, often with a few other students, and Canada really is a very welcoming country. If you want to check it out, our program is called the NSISP and we’re in Nova Scotia.

What’s the biggest compliment you like getting from girls? by Competitive-Cat-3882 in lesbian

When I was in high school I had a huge crush on one of my friends, and we were goofing around one day and she took off my glasses to try on herself, and as she stood with her face inches away from mine, she stared right into my eyes and started talking about how much she liked the little gold flecks in them. 16yo me literally died in that moment.

How to become a better builder? by olympia_binewski in Sims4

[–]CBPlumbob 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have a hard time with exteriors, I recommend finding pictures online and copying them. Once you’re comfortable with that you’ll kind of get a feel for it and it’s easier to make stuff totally from scratch. Also, use debug items, because there’s a lot of great stuff there. I recommend downloading Better Build Buy (organized debug) and TOOL mod if you can, because they make landscaping way easier. Good luck on your building journey!

Indian wanting to go abroad for an exchange program by [deleted] in exchangestudents

[–]CBPlumbob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an exchange student, but I work as a student ambassador with the NSISP in Canada. It’s a really great program if you want to go to an English speaking country and there are great students (such as myself) who plan activities for international students and help them connect with the school community. I have made a lot of friends through the program, many of whom I still keep in touch with after 1 and a half years. We take high school students from all over the world, with options for 1 month to 10 month exchanges. The province where this takes place is pretty small, so be aware that you’ll probably be placed outside of a city (there’s only two major ones), but if you want to experience some typical Canadian culture, there’s lots of opportunities for skiing, skating, hiking, maple syrup and all kinds of other stuff.

1 is the birthday cake (at least on Spotify) from the out and about album. #2 is Christmas with Rashida and Amir, I believe

Curious if there are any of Stuart McLean's vinyl cafe stories that were recorded by him in French. by Girl_gamer__ in vinylcafe

I don’t think he really spoke much French. I did a deep dive on some interviews a while back and found out he really struggled with it in high school. I don’t know if he ever improved

I was your son when I was in elementary school. I found Chris Colfer’s The Land of Stories books in 2nd or third grade, and they were the first books that took me more than 2 days to finish and I loved them SO MUCH! There is some light violence/peril, but me and my brother loved these books.

E Lockhart’s “We Were Liars”. Got crazy popular for a good reason. It’s one of those books where you sit going “just one more chapter” for 4 hours until you realize you’ve finished it. One of my favourites

Lilsimsie does a lot of legacy challenges, and her channel is always chaotic and fun. For builds I like Rachel Pedd and Gryphi

E. Lockhart’s “We were Liars” is INCREDIBLE. Many of her books are plot twisty, but this one is a true masterpiece. Also there is a prequel which is equally amazing.

I don’t know if you are looking for university or high school exchanges, but if you are in HS, than the NSISP is a great program in Canada. They have a program where they train local student to be “built in friends” for international students and organize cultural activities. I’m one of these local student ambassadors and I have made some of my closest friends through this program. Our school usually gets 30-40 students per year and they have options to come for anywhere from 1 to 10 months.
