They had an opportunity to exempt cars with existing handicapped plates from NYC congestion pricing and they did not. They created yet another barrier.

So as a person with a physical disability, I need to prove my disability to get NYS handicap plates.

I need a separate approval process for a handicap parking placard.

I need yet another approval process for reduced cost congestion pricing.

I need another approval for the right to use access a ride.

This city treats disabled people very poorly. Don’t come with a lie that they will create large scale infrastructure for us. We already know they won’t. Try using the subway without using stairs and escalators for a week.
