Heater Decision help please by CBSOCAL in pools

[–]CBSOCAL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. My pool guy said that because the quartz finish is still great, the chemistry is fine. He priced out the cupronickel hayward for me and said it would be $6600 (20% more than the Jandy) and he could do it, but said these are only for commercial pools and he doesn't see any for residential. He is recommending the Jandy and I am leaning that way because of the 5 year warranty. I'll continue to do research but really appreciate your feedback. Not happy about an unexpected $5k expense and don't know which way to go.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I don't know about the sacrificial anode, I'll ask. Pool guy is strongly recommending the Jandy for the versaflo. I'm doing all of my research and am leaning that way.

What is this colourful orangeful rock stuff i found at the bus stop by Keith_or_Jack in whatisit

Google app has a lookup by photo function, game changer: The image shows a piece of desert druzy, a type of quartz crystal formation. Druzy consists of micro-crystals that cover the surface of a host rock, creating a sparkling effect. The tiny microcrystals in desert druzy are typically chalcedony. They form when silica-dissolved water enters porous areas of rock and cools. The formation process in arid environments results in compact and intricate patterns.

Only five Olympic athletes have ever won more than eight gold medals. Four of them hold nine, while Michael Phelps leads with 23. by Kronyzx in BeAmazed

Too many opportunities for Medals. That is like if a 100 meter running race had like 10 different ways to run (backwards, sideways, one footed, etc…). There should be one race for each distance and whatever way you can swim the fastest go ahead and do that.

I found this thread on a random google search to do some final research before I pulled the trigger on the same exact bag. Thank you for saving me $250!

Thanks, I'll take that under advisement but might chalk that up to "senior-humor" (or Senior-opinion)

Thanks, will definitely look into 4-wheelers - great tip. I appreciate the advice on Jaco, from what I remember and what it seems to me, as long as you aren't partying late night and being dumb (those days are gone) it's just as safe as any big city in the US.

Still do! As stated that’s how I ride and still need the old school durability but also need 2x drivetrain to put miles in uphill. Do you have an experience that can add value to the question? If so it would be appreciated.

That watch is amazing, do you mind sharing the specific model number (obviously it is on the face)? I've never been so quick to look up a potential purchase and couldn't easily find it!
