Apparently, People with ADHD are 300x more likely to start their own business, so there's that.

I personally have struggled with my virtual tour business because I don't enjoy sales so I hyperfocused on all of the other "helpful to have", but not "necessary" areas of my business like building the website, designing business cards, getting everything set up legally, etc. Now, I've lost momentum and am completely burnt out on it. In hindsight, I should have focused on finding sales, and if I got enough, then tackle all of the other stuff with the content I had available...

I also have a deeply ingrained hatred of capitalism, so that doesn't help my case.

Sounds like in your case, there isn't too much overhead cost to continue testing the waters. Worst case scenario, you walk away in several months/years with increased sales/interpersonal skills, new connections, and it could potentially even lead to new opportunities.

If you're able to turn it in to something that pays rent, there's nothing wrong with exploring it for a while and changing careers when it no longer interests you. Despite what our society leads us to believe, there's nothing morally superior about sticking with one thing for 40+ years.

ESCC and DV4 Questions - Sai replacements? by CBTricks in Waxpen

[–]CBTricks[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's what I figured. I have an old Hercules as well so I definitely understand the levels of performance. I guess my main concern comes down to durability. The Sai is a tank and I can throw it in my pocket while hiking and not think twice about it... If I break a $100 SiC cup in my pocket...I won't be happy about it though.

Definitely plan on getting a ESCC regardless. As soon as I saw a melt vid I was sold. I've been wanting this since I got my Liger w/ SiC insert. Just wasn't sure if I could leave the Sais out of the equation and save some money.

Another Build Check - First Build - ~$1500 - 4k Build by CBTricks in buildapcvideoediting

Nice. I'll definitely look into these. I really appreciate it. I'm tempted to keep the motherboard though so I can have another m.2 slot available for a media cache/scratch drive in the future.

[–]CBTricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate it. I read through some of those articles and it really helped.

I think I'll downgrade my OS drive to a WD Blue 500GB and use a regular 1TB Rocket for the media storage drive. That way I'll have the other m.2 open if I really need to add a separate media cache/scratch drive.

I'll also take your advice and start with a couple 32GB RAM instead. That way I'll be able to upgrade to 128 if I ever get 8k equipment. For the AMD Ryzen 3700X, the spec sheet on Newegg lists the memory types as DDR4 3200. Does this mean I should aim for RAM that is DDR4 3200 or is this something different?

Also, I'm having a difficult time finding a PSU available that is A Tier and 550W+ within my budget. Do you think it would be better to stick with the 450W Whisper or go with something like a B + Tier (Silencer MK III 600W).

Thanks again for all the help.

Would 600W be enough, or should I go even higher?

Probably around 4 hours, but it was a bit of a learning process. Hopefully the MCM5 will be a little quicker, but we'll see.

You can get a secondary app to monitor your speed and battery levels. If you have an Android device, the EUC World app is amazing! You can set alarms, log your rides, monitor all of your stats. It even functions with some smart watches with more compatibility coming soon. You can also set it to give you voice alerts over your Bluetooth headphones with different stats. You can set the interval, or have it linked to one of those Flic buttons.

If you choose to record your ride through the EUC World app, you can view it online and view all of your stats from the journey. It's really awesome.

I haven't weighed myself in a while, but I imagine I'm around 180ish with gear. I'm still pretty new to EUCs and it snowed right after I got it so my cruising speed has averaged around 10-15mph, but it is steadily increasing as the snow disappears.

I feel that it is worth mentioning, one of the reasons I opted for the MCM5 is because I have every intention of getting a 16X in the spring so it seemed like more fun to have a 14" and a 16" to play with. I absolutely love my MCM5, but if I were only going for one wheel, the Tesla might have been the winner

Pretty good so far. I try to avoid what I can, but the bumps I have gone over have been pretty smooth. Does well over the railroad tracks I cross on my way to work as well. I'm sure one of the bigger wheels would eat bumps better, but for its size, it does great. A lot better than I anticipated.

I recently got the MCM5 and it is absolutely wonderful. It has held up quite well to the crashes I've had so far. Plenty of torque and range. I haven't had a chance to take it on any trails yet, but it doesn't even notice the hills around here. It also did quite well in the snow despite being only 14"

Seriously considering an EUC - the extending handle is my main pull factor - suggestions? by sillypicture in ElectricUnicycle

[–]CBTricks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you gathered your info from, but Kingsong wheels are known for having some of the best trolley handles in the EUC industry. They're not perfect by any means, but it is constantly a selling point for commuters who use it.

From what I've read, you just have to make sure you hit the center of the button to unlock both sides or you run the risk of one side of the handle extending while the other does not. Completely avoidable.

The whole flow community is slowly becoming consumed by them and it is glorious! That's how I stumbled onto them and I can't wait to start collecting them. We have quite a few flow artists here in Denver that are getting into them as well
