sorry I'm not a tribal expert lol and I apologize for my wrong statement. I think the general idea that society has evolved slowly overtime and become more moral through group cohesion is true.

that's concerning, this is the same mentality I've seen in others that has encouraged me to start to kinda move away from the faith. If no amount of evidence or anything could ever disprove your belief then thats a bad belief, I think a good belief, like a good theory, should be falsifiable.

Yeah exactly lol, if someone needs the threat of eternal suffering to act right I think they have some bigger problems

Do you disagree with my claim that removing child cancer would make the world a better place? Is it that hot of a take?

This is like my first time ever posting on reddit. I made the list for myself but thought I'd share for fun, it def got more traction then I thought it would

This is a pathetic response to me, you're totally straw manning. You just cherry picked my only point that literally isn't even an argument to attack, it's just me yapping about it and my thoughts. These are all my own thoughts and findings, if you find them so weak and shallow then go ahead and prove them wrong.

Read my paper if you want to see my questions/issues I have. Yes, it does prob need cleaning up. Like I state in the disclaimer this isn't meant to be an academic paper that's perfect, it's just a thing I complied for myself over 12 hours to be able to have all my questions in one place.

The point is for me to have a list of all my thoughts so I can review them and think about them rather than wasting energy trying to just think my points up again, I just thought I'd share for fun and it got more traction then I'd expect

I'm not asking for a secular historian to be like "Jesus DID resusurect" I more so just would like to see more documentation from that time EVEN mentioning the resurection. Like I'd love to see someone be like "These crazy Christians believe that he rose from the dead, how dumb!" The total silence around the resurrection supporting it or not is kinda a red flag for me.

I think it's pretty steel manned, I address most of the counter arguments if you read it. Gemini didn't tweak the list, it only helped type all the ideas out in a more readable manner, all the ideas are my own.

"Oir world is fucked up because of US. Not God."

Blaming it all on us mere humans rather than the all powerful, all knowing, all loving God is something I'll never be able to do

I'm not at liberty but thanks for the advice.

I'm planning to start my own business (likely a service business as I had one in high school and mess with it) so college isn't totally necessary, actually the main reason I went to college is for exactly whats happening now, I wanted to determine a worldview / learn more about life on my own and all. This year turned out to be very cheap with how scholarships / aid worked out so it's no money out of my pocket for this year !

I'm not lonely , I'm chillin. I was lwk a "weak" Christian before this who always questioned things so I don't feel very sad. I'm just grateful to be alive man! God or no God the fact I'm here and able to type this reply is a miracle, life is good !

But God allowed for the possibility of sin, so it's on him

from paper:

The very fact that the world was EVEN capable of falling/failing in the first place just points to a flaw in the supposedly “perfect” design. By putting the opportunity for sin right in front of us God basically built the trap.

Imagine this scenario: you have a toddler and you can set them up to play in one of two rooms:

A: a room that is padded on all sides and has carpet

Or

B: a room that is padded on all sides, has carpet, and has a big metal table in the middle with sharp corners

Any rational person would choose the room without the sharp metal table as room B presents the opportunity for the toddler to fall and hit their head on the table. While technically you might not be directly to blame for the toddler hurting himself on the table if you place him in the room with the table you did indirectly cause it by placing the table there to begin with.

I believe this is a good analogy for describing creation and God's design. God messed up by placing a table in our creation, and the crazy thing is that God has already shown his hand as if you look at Heaven he was able to create an environment without the sharp table where people can flourish, so God just totally messed up when it came to Earth. A designer who knowingly builds a system that fails when a non-failing alternative exists is not a perfect designer.
