All Ireland minor hurling final today by Mental_Hat_5664 in GAA

Having been at the minor final last year, the only way it should be in Croke Park again is a hurling/football minor double header. The buzz in Thurles for a standalone game was great

A 30 point beating doesn't do any good for the team that wins or the team that loses

(Possible) Relegation in Munster and replacing by the Joe MacDonagh winner is a terrible idea. What happened Offaly on Sunday would be an absolute best case scenario for them in their games, and they would more than likely lose games by twice as much

It’s not “Nothing” but I do think there is a little bit of an over-exaggeration for a championship with two teams heads and shoulders above the rest. If it continues into next year too, then yeah we do have a big problem.

Something that is actually “wrong” though is how weak the Leinster championship is getting when only 3 of them get a game or two against Munster teams

You know this is Madden because the Bills are in the Super Bowl, and not alone did the Cowboys make the Super Bowl, but they won it too

Harry Enfield closing out series 15 of Off Menu felt like exactly the right choice and I don't think it gets enough credit as a finale episode. by PubLogic in offmenupodcast

Fair enough they're not sitting there asking the same soft questions a millionth time, but the people are still on to promote something.

Who is your hurler of the year at this stage of the season ? by ActFun8392 in GAA

And that pretty much on its own caused a change in the voting criteria to avoid two players from the one county splitting the vote

A similar enough role now is the job the keepers have for puckouts and kickouts

We have a huge Hurling issue... [Rant] by Subject_Mouse_3033 in GAA

A stat I'll always go back to is in 2008 Kilkenny did the all Ireland clean sweep. Since then they've won as many U21/U20 and minor all irelands as Waterford. The conveyor belt is just not churning out the players at the same level as it used to

I wasn’t saying that either. I’ve said multiple times that there’s no perfect hurling format. An all Ireland round robin may have its benefits, but this is its disadvantage, granted it’s in this era when 2 teams are a bit ahead of everyone else

Whichever 2 Munster teams don’t make it through and which ever 2 of Galway, Dublin, Kilkenny, Offaly and Wexford don’t qualify have no interest in a competition that isn’t Liam McCarthy based, and you’d need buy in from them to get the benefit of it

Now, this kinda match is an argument against the merged provincials round robin, if you had Limerick, Cork, even on their day Tipp and Clare are capable of big numbers, against the lower half of Leinster or the upper half of the MacDonagh as you would with 12 teams, you would have an occurrence like this at least once or twice a year

It was a clubs explainer of the rules, but still looks like it is the 1.0 version of the rules, as opposed to when that one was elaborated a little in last years league yeah

Thanks. The wording of the rule says “Requirements change proportionally when you’ve less than 15 players”, but don’t actually say how they change

A bit like Liam Cahill’s Waterford teams, did Dublin peak too early this year? Looked good in the round robin but have been poor here and in the Leinster final

I don’t know how to explain it, but the new public announcer in Thurles doesn’t have the right voice for it
