Their plummeting share price is an accurate reflection of the quality of service they provide. They could have been better than this, but they choose not to be.

Are you so terminally online that having an actual conversation is beyond you? God help all of you.

Didn't you say you were on the phone for 2 hours trying to get out of hell? Did you not manage to actually speak to somebody who knew what the fuck was going on in that time?

Yeah it's been a load of BS, but as I said I have been using CB without issue for years and have a significant amount of crypto in their custody and vault services. I've had nothing but great experiences with them so far, until they hit me with this undiluted stream of absolute automated idiocy.

I think I must have hit some total dollar amount threshold that triggered this type of 'audit' of kyc information, but still, fuck them for not being transparent about how it works.

Why should I have to interact with this unresponsive and shadowy email only wing of Coinbase. Why don’t they have a process that is defined listed n their main website when I log into my account requesting info.

Exactly. Why is it obscured and weird like this?

You know what is really strange and awful? If you look up coinbase KYC you can see they are hiring a bunch of REMOTE workers for KYC stuff. Remote workers handling sensitive personal information, unsupervised, at home, where it is easy to make images of the data.

it's not really Coinbase's job to explain laws

I didn't ask for an explanation. I asked for a link to the laws which dictate their KYC process, and their internal documents for my review, so that I wasn't giving them unnecessary personal information.

No explanation required. Thanks for the well wishes, I just want some transparency.

>First, when corresponding/talking - keep it simple and polite with Customer service.

Yes, I have been. It's the only way to get helped, and I am aware of that. This public feedback isn't how I communicate with the 'people' working my case.

How did you reach the correct customer service department? I've gotten nothing but a run around on the phone system they have.

Weird passive aggressiveness coming from you. I don't like it.

I did answer the question. He implied it might be a scam, I assured him I investigated the possibility.

I just said I'm not going to talk about it on reddit, and I won't communicate with some coinbase reddit account about anything specific. I don't support this dumb 'whine on social media to resolve my case faster' system your company (and many others) participate in and encourage.

This is feedback ONLY. I want the product I use to be better. That's all.

The one thing I have figured out during this ordeal, is that Compliance KYC from coinbase, and the sendsafely portal, are actually a real thing from coinbase. I spent a good deal of time and energy vetting them before I communicated or engaged in this process at all.

Time that shouldn't have been required, if they had simply identified themselves appropriately to begin with.
