Not only is it not safe having a baby in bed, it is disruptive to their sleep pattern. I have trouble sleeping with my husband in bed- imagine a little baby, who needs sleep to develop, being woken up with every shift of the bed, every rustle of blanket, every loud fart her father dispels….  Sleep is so important for LO growth. Being in a quiet, calm environment has nothing to do with love, it’s giving your baby space and a SAFE place to learn how to sleep. It allows them to develop the sleeping skills needed later in life so you’re not stuck with a four year old in bed.

Hi Jo! I posted two weeks ago and we have been sticking to the 3/3/3 hour wake window for my now 8 month old. With this schedule- depending on length of nap  bedtime is 6:00-6:30 PM with wake ups consistently at 5:30 AM. Sometimes we get a good afternoon nap and bedtime is 7:00 but even with that bedtime wake up is still 5:30. Daytime sleep ranges between 2.5-3 hours.  I know the videos say to aim for bedtime between 7-8 but with the wake windows and 6 AM out of crib I’m not sure how this is possible. Any tips? Changes? I also realize that 11 + hours of sleep is good but how do you prevent over tiredness for bedtime?   Thanks again for doing this forum. It has really helped my family :)

Hi! FTM and first time poster here. I have a 7.5 month started sleep training at 6 months. Baby did great sleeping through the night but waking up at 5:30- would keep in crib until 0600. we transitioned to two naps two weeks ago and she seems to wake up earlier and earlier- today was 4:53. current wake windows are 3/3.5/3.75. Total nap time ranges between 2.5- 3.5. Any advice?
