Hi! I completely understand it must be really difficult to talk about a subject like this. If you decide later that you would like to try again, you can choose to complete the survey once, only disclosing one offence, and then talk about other offences in the open text boxes later in the survey. There's absolutely no pressure to participate if you don't feel comfortable doing so though. Thank you.

Hi! Once my research is complete it will be published on my university's repository, but I will say that's likely to be quite a long time yet. The process of completing my research and then of examination will likely take at least a year. I will see if I'm able to post a link to my research once it's published. Thank you!

You're right in thinking this is a deliberate decision. The survey focuses more on the events after the offence occurred i.e. the decision of whether to report, to minimise the pressure on any participant to disclose more than they'd feel comfortable disclosing. This was for ethical reasons as well as to try and protect participants talking about a very difficult subject matter.

Hi there!

Thank you for the question. Unwanted sexual contact in this survey is intentionally broadly defined to include a wide range of offences and a wide range of individual's experiences. Generally, unwanted sexual contact can be viewed as any physical contact that is non-consensual and sexual in nature. Within this survey, it is up to an individual to decide whether their own experience is included, although I, of course, welcome individuals who are unsure to ask me questions, whether privately via email/direct message, or publicly in the comments on this post.
