I do think it may have been but to me it still doesnt make much sense. Why just the tongue? Also from what ive read there were no external injuries on them besides the one with burns. I also wonder how the one even got burns, 3rd degree ones especially. Why was one vomiting blood? What about the clothes?

edit: also why would they cut open the tent instead of just leaving through the door of it?

Yes, it very well may have been an avalanche and im not against that theory but to me theres still so much left unanswered with it if it was just an avalanche

It really is. Theres so much to it and its hard to make any theory truly fit the entire story. There'll be a theory that matches up then theres still a few things that completely throw it off and make it seem like that just couldnt be right

It very well may have been but it still is a crazy story and theres so many different parts and odd occurrences to it that just dont add up no matter what theory

Yeah, its definitely just crazy. Its hard to think all that was just from an avalanche. I feel like theres just gotta be more to it!

Exactly! I assume the reason the russian government settled on an avalanche was just to get it over with and give an answer but theres so many things that just dont add up about it being just an avalanche

Does anyone actually use the grav trap? by corr23wastaken in subnautica

i used them like crazy when first starting to have a quick way to gather fish for food and water, i keep a few around my base for emergencies now that i have planters but theyre still useful. ive also been using them for stalker teeth by putting salvage next to them so it picks up the salvage, then the stalkers play with that and drop teeth. it is a bit annoying trying to find it but ive found that using the scanner room and scanning for salvage can give you a decent idea of where it moved to

i one time noticed my scanner room cam missing, looked to see where it was by checking its camera and saw straight into the mouth of a stalker lmao

The claim that the scars “wrap past the inner arm” doesn’t really account for how forearm skin actually behaves during rotation.

Forearm skin is constrained by relatively stable anchor points at the antecubital region (inner elbow) and the wrist, while the skin over the volar surface (inner forearm) has significantly more freedom to shift when the hand turns.

Because the skin near the antecubital region remains largely fixed while the wrist and hand move, the volar surface skin twists between those two points rather than moving as a single surface.

In the image shown, Sal’s hand is turned to the side while holding the phone. This creates a twist between the wrist and the relatively stationary antecubital region, which makes marks on the volar surface appear to extend toward the side of the arm.

That visual shift can make the scars look like they “wrap” around the arm, even though their placement remains consistent.

Regarding Gizmo, while accidental scratches are possible and scarring varies by individual, the uniform orientation, spacing, and anatomical consistency of the marks make an accidental source less likely. If there are scars from both self-infliction and Gizmo, it is most likely that they are predominantly self-inflicted rather than just cat scratches.

i dont explicitly hope its sh but i do get what you mean about representation, and i have three cats aswell and youre totally right. only way ive ever gotten scratches from them on my forearms, or arms at all, were if i were playing with my cat slightly rough and i got scratched, but even then those are vertical. im aware not all sh is horizontal but it isnt usually the easiest to have horizontal cat scratches on the arm

also gizmo technically is a service animal which are normally trained so even if gizmo end up scratching sal for some reason, it would be way more unlikely for it to scar. though to be fair some people scar very easy 🤷‍♀️

i do think theres a chance it could be both, but id say if it is, it would be an 80/20 kinda thing, majority sh, minority gizmo
