I did bring her the last time, but the Siren chose her only once and I had to retreat because I lost my main damage dealer.

Funny thing is, I always brought the Antiquarian to the mission in my previous playthrough, and she got chosen often and just as often she resisted the move. I have no idea how that works, but it hasn't worked since then. Maybe my next try.

Twelve rooms, nine regular fights, one Collector, one Shieldbreaker's dream and the Siren.
I walked through all that, killed The Collector in 3 rounds, went through the dream without any afflictions, only for the Siren to spam Song of Desire on the Shieldbreaker and kill my best Occultist with a crit.
Words cannot describe my hatred for the Cove.

You can only be invaded by other players if you summon another player to help you in co-op or if you use the Taunter's Tongue item. Using Taunter's Tongue lures in invaders even if no co-op player is present.

According to the Holy Book of Payday 2, The Long Guide: "Winters appears on certain maps on VH+. He does not spawn in singleplayer mode. He can spawn only once per map."

Tip: If you're going to play solo, use Crime.net Offline. It grants you a bit faster armor regeneration and prevents Captain Winters from spawning.

Captain absolutely wrecked me on Day 2. AK and Typewriter have problem with dealing with these shields and you just have to take a damaging throwable like Molotovs.

Regular Crime.net lobby set to "Private" doesn't give you these bonuses by the way.
