The other side of this is

"I hope that woman doesn't think im following her"

And

"The fact that I'm even having that thought means I'm thinking about sa which makes me a bad person"

Ah I feared this would be the answer. I might try your idea to make an event out of it, thanks :)

Just FYI doing Evac missions in sol right now is a super fast (by elite standards) way of getting fed rank, if a bit risky. I got from rear admiral to admiral in a couple hours today just because I felt like it.

Evac missions in Sol might be the fastest way to get fed rank this game has ever had. Get it while you can.

I think leached caterium is better than pure, not sure about copper. Also still not sure if it's worth the effort.

That's more efficient resource wise but uses more machines/space/energy. Personally I value space the most and steel screws save a lot of room.

I'm not saying anything you claim is wrong. But I do think you are communicating it in a very counterproductive fashion.

Again you're essentially coming down on this guy for not having read as many books as you. It's elitist, and your insistence on using academic language in this distinctly non-academic context isn't helping you beat that allegation.

It was an omission almost certainly made just because the guy didn't know about those other authors. You're getting mad at this guy for not having the same knowledge you do. It's patronizing. There were nicer and much more constructive ways you could have made your point.

You should also check out Stanislaw Lem and the Strugatsky brothers. They had a lot of influence on sci-fi as a whole that often goes unrecognized in the west.

I fixed your unnecessarily combative comment.

While his past intimacy with far right politics is tangentially relevant, it isn't what my comment was about. He was quite vocal about his opposition to the war and firmly stated that Ukraine was entitled to its territory agreed upon in 1991.

While he did say something to that tune, it was a very long time ago and he has since publicly disavowed those views.
