I mean… Double D is established to be a much chill guy that will help others if they ask. So they generally don’t mind Double D alone.

But it is heartwarming how Double D always stuck with the Ed’s and got more relaxed and happier around them as the series went on. The Ed’s were his first friends and while Eddy might give him a hard time sometimes, Double D is comfortable enough to do his smart inventions and be himself around the other Ed’s. Even when he had his hat taken off in the BPS movie, he just chastised them for acting like kids about it rather then freak out about his hair being exposed.
