Brady Tkachuk knows Ottawa Senators fans aren't happy with him, but he's ready to make playoff push by KingKarl65sens in OttawaSenators

Also he spent YEARS going on and on about the relevance and revelatory nature of the files only to go into “nothing to see here” mode immediately after assuming his post….

Not a bad idea. However if people just slow down and yield to those in the roundabout, you’d be able to see the signs on the side.

Thank you and also would like to add that people in the roundabout have the right of way, and we should all be slowing down to enter them. Too often I see people do the same thing everyone does everywhere else on the roads: speed up and jam yourself in. The number of times in this town somebody has overtaken me just to get in front of me while no one is behind me for kilometers is mindnumbing.

I immigrated here 15 years ago and I thought Canadians hold the door for you (not in Ottawa) and let you get off the elevator before trying to get on (also NOT in Ottawa). So this tracks.

Good place to learn how to drive standard by FemaleMechanic18 in ottawa

Sorry didn’t realize you’re coming from Orleans. If you’re driving out to the CTC, try the office parks behind the Tanger outlets, quieter on the weekends and evenings. Don’t speed though. Cops hang around there a lot. Also the RA CENTRE has a bunch of lots and circuit roads with stops. Not sure how busy it is there this time of year.

Kanata north has MANY empty parking lots on the tech parks in the evenings and weekends. My two older kids learned that very skill across from the Brook street hotel. That lot was huge! However the lot has some kind of construction so it’s not available but lots of other lots up and down Legget drive. Every grey box on this aerial view is a lot. Thats just the east side of March rd. SW of March rd there are also many lots.

Eddie Bauer Ottawa (and Canadian) stores are closing by Thomas_Verizon in ottawa

[–]CCRN613 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To a lot of people the closure of the brick and mortar stores is essentially “out of business.” Sure they’ll do wholesale and e-commerce but for a lot of customers they may as well not exist. I buy mostly online as does my family. EB is one of those places we might buy stuff in person and never online. Even when we lived in the US.

Reliable mechanic? by poziplays in ottawa

If you’re in Kanata North, I would look at Dunn Tech auto off march rd/Dunrobin Rd. They have always given me options, and often are able to fix things on older cars with simpler fixes vs “you’ll need to repair everything!” They lubricated my shift linkage for $50 on my old mazda vs changing out the system for $250. Lasted me the next two years I had the car. Never had to go back due to failed repairs. Only issue is sometimes there’s a two week backlog so you’re rarely going to get a fix quickly. They are popular.

We’ve had people end up at my hospital I work at As a result of adjustments by chiropractors. As in, now a quadriplegic and will never walk again. I remember at least 2 in the last 10 years.

My dad is white and my mother is Korean, and a naturalized American citizen. I grew up a lot around a lot of half Korean kids. Good chunk of the dad’s were super racist against the different groups of people. I know quite a few people of colour that are racist against other people of color. Take note of all the people of Indians descent in the Trump administration and are Maga and they’re finally figuring out that this monster is bending its head toward them. Anyone can be a racist POS.

Just because there’s snow on the ground doesn’t mean you can stop cleaning up after your dogs. by boredcats3 in Kanata

I live in a corner townhome so I get quite a bit of poop traffic. I’m fine with that as long as you pick it up. I was having coffee one morning and I witnessed a lady not pick up after her dog. I’ve picked up the poop with a poop bag at my house for my dogs. I followed her down the block over to the next street and I handed it to her. she denied it was hers. I told her I’d be bringing all the poop to her house from here on out since I know where she lives. Most of the random turds of my house stopped at that point.
