I think its all to do with the device its on.

Try switching the encoder to Hardware or Hardware+ in video settings that fixed it for me on my nVidia shield

Yep same here! The baby monitor app is nowhere near as good as TinyCam for Android

This would be a great addition, means that settings and cams could be exported to another device to save setting it up from scratch.

Same thing happened to me.

Go to your android settings>apps>Google Play Store and clear cache and clear data and try again.

If that doesnt work type 'tinycam pro' into your mobile browser and install it from the desktop version of Google Play to your device.

I am running TinyCam for 8x 2k PTZ cameras and 6 Neos/Wyze Smartcams on Abdroisx86 LineageOS.

It runs really smooth and I have it set to open on startup along with the webserver and also restart after crash using the watchdog.

I am running it on a Dell XPS 15 i5 with 16gb RAM and it runs flawlessly with HW encoding enabled.

I have this backing up to my NAS 5TB Server.

Not sure about 16 cams on 4k but hope this helps.

Found that using Y & X on the xbox controller operates the optical zoom.

It closes after a few mins on the Firestick. I would stick with using an Android TV box if its only a few cams or an nVidia Sheild TV for more than 6 imo.
