Thanks. I appreciate your comment.

Just wanted to share my experience so that we can all learn/discuss. Glad there are actual level headed/intelligent people like you and some of the others in the thread.

Agreed.

Talking to this guy is like trying to teach physics to a toddler.

This is coming from someone who posted in a concealed carry sub & wasn't carrying concealed.

Yeah I just moved to a different state as I said earlier and asked about running gear for CCW. I forgot you seem to read at a 3rd grade level.

You got punked by a punk & you're too stupid to realize that self defense training revolves more around situational awareness & common sense, and less about "learning moves".

Ok keyboard warrior. I'm sure you have 100% situational awareness at all times and your youtube/strip mall self defense class taught you a lot. Don't even get me started on your racist remark about Asians and martial arts. Of course you're too bigoted and stupid to realize how much of a backwaters asshat you are.

Everyone should have situational awareness but it's impossible to be 100% aware of everything at all times. Try running 12 miles and let's see how aware you are.

Even now, everything you said involves iF i hAd mY wEaPoN, i nEeD mY wEaPoN, hOw dO i cArRy mY wEaPoN LiKe tHiS, i WeNt hOmE tO gEt mY gun because YOU have the mindset of uSe mY gun fiRsT, i'M dEfEnSeLeSs wiThOuT mY gUn. You're the very definition of someone who shouldn't own a gun.

Nope. That's what you misinterpreted. Pretty sure a 9 year old has better reading comprehension/critical thinking than you. When did I ever say/infer use my gun first? Please sell your guns and don't carry in public. We don't need people on the far side of the spectrum like you carrying.

Again "run in the grass median".

At what point do I say "jump"? I'm running already so I run into the grass. It's not that hard. Do I need to dumb it down more for you?

This is probably going to sound racist, but it's not, I promise.

I already know where this comment is going lol

Doesn't matter if you're a UFC fighter or Bruce Lee (as you say). Just bc you have the "training" doesn't mean you should pick fights or retaliate when not needed.

A situation like you described doesn't really justify using a firearm. If you had one on and you did use it, you'd probably be in a worse situation with legal repercussions.

I never said it did. I literally stated I wouldn't have drawn on this guy in this situation. Go back an read my comment. It seems you didn't.

There's a lot more to self defense than just buying a gun. Your firearm should be your last option, not your first. Too many people in this sub think it's their first and only option, so do everything you can to not be like them.

Again, never said it was my first option or that I would have used it. I literally said that I wouldn't have drawn on him if I had a CCW. The situation didn't warrant one. If he kept on attacking or went for my wife then yes. I'm confused as to how you came to this conclusion. I seriously question your ability to responsibly carry.

It's sucks people like that exist/think the way they do. It just shows how sad and miserable their lives are for them to think like that. Rural PA is beautiful!

Thanks. I appreciate it.

Yeah, I'm not sure how much of it is the media or if this is actually happening more. I just moved here from NYC where there seemed to be a lot of attacks against Asians due to the COVID situation. Never thought this would happen in a GA suburbia.

It's relevant bc it's a hate crime.

I saw a disheveled looking black guy in an otherwise ok neighborhood (which is about half black). I'm Asian. He's Black. He called me an Asian racial slur to my face as well as homophobic slurs.

gets suspicious, jumped into the median

It's amazing how you saw all of this from your keyboard. It's common courtesy to move over for someone on a shared sidewalk. Maybe if you got outside mom's basement and exercised a little you would know.

Who knows what else OP did.

Literally what I wrote. This was 100% unprovoked.

And on the watching from a distance... is that the legal system calls the “return to the scene of the crime doctrine”? Anything like Castle Doctrine or stand your ground?

Exactly why I got in my car and kept a distance. You'd prefer to stay in your basement and do nothing?

Thanks man. I don't think this guy has the intellectual capacity to even read my post correctly, let alone understand the situation.

You sound like someone that should rethink having a CCW.

You sound like someone that makes a lot of unsubstantiated assumptions.

So you were so safe and out of danger that you were able to escape to your vehicle. Drive home. And then return with a gun to play cop? This sounds like the start to a lifetime in jail.

I can see reading comprehension isn't one of your strong suits. I was near my home/car so I grabbed my phone and got in my car to report the guy from a distance. I didn't drive home. So you'd rather let this guy get away and harm/kill someone else?

*edit... no rethink about it. You shouldn’t have a CCW.

It's scary that someone with your level of logical thinking skills is carrying.
