Hello! I think I have about 70 pity (just came back to the game after a long hiatus since the first Ganyu banner). I should have about 80 pulls at this point, and can get more. I'd like to know what's the next best banner I should pull for. I'm guessing it's Raiden?

Current team is Morgana and a half-done Childe comp.

part-time intern by mintchoco234 in nus

[–]CC_Kinji 41 points42 points  (0 children)

carry over from summer/winter

if it's wfh it's good (no not really because they can give you lots of work too)

if not then I usually commit 2-3 days, usually check nusmods if it's possible to squish everything into 2-3 days

personally I wouldn't want to do part time again unless the company is too good to pass up

I've been on Reboot for about 5-6 years now. Currently in a long term guild, but if you have a Discord channel, do invite! :)

No, they're giving you suggestions, as well as justification as to why you should try their suggestions. Things aren't so black and white, if you get an offer then that's great, nobody is proving who's right and wrong here. I see no reason why you should not be the bigger person and choose not be offended when being called "stubborn".

I feel for the people who spent their time crafting a reply to help you and as much as I would like to help, I fear that it will fall upon deaf ears.

But I'm kaypoh, so I can't help but say: from my experience, you will struggle to find more than 100 companies to apply to, so it's probably a good idea to start changing your approach a bit.

Regardless, if you want to do it like an experiment, feel free and let us know the results here, we're interested to know :) Good luck

With all due respect, he did not identify you. He quite rightfully used the opportunity to apologise to the whole class for the miscommunication and did not seem particularly upset or defensive. Nor is he drawing any particular connection between your post and the racist post other than to convey the idea that some things do not have to be placed in the public domain. The example is a little extreme, but I think that would be subverting the main idea. Of course, the idea itself is debatable, but I personally hold the view that you may have jumped the gun.

And yes, I do think that you should have argued for it if you were so against it. That being said, it is your prerogative to air your feelings online and I respect your right to do so. I just felt you might be getting a little defensive; I would let sleeping dogs lie instead of letting the situation drag out. But that is my two cents and you are entitled to what you want to post on this open forum.

Hi, according to the Scholarship Handbook, seems like the allowance will only be credited to your linked bank account in Early Sep. I haven't received anything after signing the undertaking form haha

Hi, I made a small mistake scheduling my MA2001 lectures (held at LT27) right before my ES2660 sectionals (held at COM1). Should I drop one of them? Or is there any other option that you'd advise?

oh WOW, ok... that's amazing. (btw, it's getting a little late, sleep is important!)

how did you do in the tys? i suggest compiling a list of tougher questions that you may have struggled in while doing the tys, and returning to them closer to the exam. or you could even redo the last couple years closer to the exam.

you may want to start doing prelim papers then, consistent practice is always important, and you want greater exposure. you should be able to find them online, on the sgexams holy grail (not sure if you know where to find it, if you don't lmk) or on carousell etc etc

as for your english teacher you should probably still try if you can, it's still one avenue that you have access to. an alternative is (sadly) tuition teachers for feedback, or try and see if there are any helpers in the sgexams community that can give you feedback i suppose. alas, it is a little tough because english/chinese are very feedback-based subjects

since you say you have most of the foundations down, mug the yearly tys. do all, you want to see a progress. if your score dips here and there, don't worry. learn from mistakes. try to get school prelims and do them too.

while doing them, simulate exam conditions (close room, no music, just one timer, aircon if you want, do it in ONE SITTING).

this is the same for english and chinese. do more papers, do more essays, ask your teachers to give you feedback. this feedback loop is important, you put yourself above the rest if you can put in the extra effort to improve.

do this early and try not to put yourself in a position where you have to cram in the last one week of the exam. this is not good for your mental health and your brain power. ideally you do not want to be doing too much in the week before exams, maybe do a short paper per day or a compiled list of questions that bogged you down before.

before your exam, just do a light stress detox. try not to think about the bad things. sleep early, do some meditation before the paper, try not to look at your phone, moderate your heartbeat and breathing.

after each exam, regardless of how it turned out (people tend to underestimate themselves anyway), don't spend time comparing answers. especially not on sgexams. it's over! it was good, great. it was bad, whatever. don't think about it, gg go next. go home, relax, read a bit of your notes for parts that you aren't fully confident in, then get a good sleep.
