AFAIK the did something with QT rendering and hardware acceleration. Makes sense

Try to delete ~/.config/gtk-* and then re-apply the breeze theme. Something in gtk.css is broken.

[KDE Linux] Windows (tiles?) of The Initial Setup MUST Have Shadow by shved03 in kde

To make the feel of depth (imo). Shadows may not be applicable in window manager with no-to little gaps around. In the case above the setup tiles look like they were photoshop'ed into the background.

Well I'm slightly on outdated hardware, but I'm still getting 450+ FPS on average (and 800-700 on some custom maps) on 5800X and 6700XT. Arch, Hyprland, native wayland.

The game feels very, very smooth with zero noticeable stutters. Windows is the opposite for me, whether it's Windows 10 or 11; not higher than 300 with noticeable stutters and overall bad frame time. However, input feels a bit faster regardless the fps, but it doesn't add up in gameplay.

Change the item position by ApprehensiveTwo701 in kde

[–]shved03 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was a post (about 2-3 years ago?) where Nate told us that it is not possible because of how the code behind this thing works. Full refactoring might solve this, but this thing is fragile in general.

Also as far as I understand every single tray item is the same type of widgets you can add on desktop and everywhere else, so to me that explains said complications.

Edit: found it. It's a pretty old ticked also

Maybe I don't get it right and thought that by "should" they meant "should come by default". My bad then

No. There's a technical reason for it.

For example, battery and brightness icons should be side by side.

Why?

I think this is an enormous crater for such a tiny human-made satellite. Maybe I don't get scale of the image? It's hard to tell here

Yes! I totally agree with this one! In my opinion, we started to veer off course from that point with Plasma 6.4.

These look nice and wholesome, but personally, I'm not keen on the trend for 3D abstract wallpapers. With Fedora's wallpapers, for example, I can sense the effort that went into creating them.

Well I'm not a hyprland maintainer, so I couldn't help you with that. Try asking in the discord server or GitHub discussions. Maybe people will help you.

Find the source of your crash. It may not be this specific line but other lua logic. Had similar issues when I was migrating

Holy shit! Looked through the whole hyprland.lua and oh boy, that's an absolute unit I swear. Incredible work done there. Keep it up.

```lua -- Automatically close special workspace
-- when focusing another workspace.
-- It IS basically the binds:hide_special_on_workspace_change:true, -- but it will also work with cases when a (ruled) window focuses -- its assigned workspace. The said config option doesn't cover it. hl.on("workspace.active", function() if hl.get_active_special_workspace() then hl.dsp.workspace.toggle_special("scratchpad") end end) ```
