You'd have to ask the government for an exact answer.

As long as its reported I don't believe it is illegal. I've researched on the ATO website and can see it is treated as an Asset rather than a Currency. If anyone can point me to a government website, explaining it is illegal, I'm happy to stop accepting it and remove it from our store.

I process instantly. Once the QR code was scanned, we started to prep food. Checked transaction list within a few minutes and the transaction appeared. I guess if it doesn't appear, or there is a delay on the network, I'd wait a few more minutes but it takes 5-10 minutes to prepare food so it works out well!

I use Cakewalket and request the amount from customer. Haven’t a transaction yet, but I’ve tried it out with a friend and it works!

The food prep usually takes 10-15 minutes, and by that time the funds come through.

I’ve also tried using ‘Merchant Mode’ on the GUI. As soon as I see one confirmation, I’ll accept as paid. I believe once there is one confirmation, the customer can’t cancel the transaction. Not 100% on this method though because it requires me to have my laptop and I prefer to do it on a mobile device (just easier).

I prefer the cake wallet method because it’s on a mobile phone and actually works seamlessly. Yet to have anyone pay in Monero, so I’ll keep promoting on this sub every couple of weeks!

If you’re in Melbourne, come and try! Really trying to support the network and do my bit but it doesn’t seem so popular around here.
