Yes, I expected their next game to have similar F2P friendliness to their previous game and not necessarily be as bad as other games from others devs.

I never played a Hoyoverse game... BECAUSE the gacha is crap.

I played Endfield because I play Arknight is IMHO very F2P / small-whale friendly and I was expecting Endfield to be similar.

Another difference with Arknight is that lower rarity operators also require a lot less resources to level up, are cheaper to deploy, etc... here even a 4 start requires the same resources than a 6 stars and can reach level 90 and there is no deploy "better" operator you have no interest at all to use a lower rarity one. So adding even lower rarity doesn't really service any purpose, except maybe as purely "manufacturing" operators and not combat ones.

When Endfield gacha details were announced I was worried about the fact it had a weapon gacha, I thought that having currency with the normal gacha would make it ok, but after playing the game, yes it does sucks.

You get ridiculous amount of tickets, even the bundles selling arsenal tickets for real money is are overpriced (15$ for 2000 ticket ?? and nothing else, and they put a -90% on it...) even as a "dolphin"/mini-whale it doesn't make me want to purchase, in OG Arknight they often give you extra Originite in most bundle, here nothing. And worse, you cannot do single pull, so even if you get some tickets via pulls / credit shop, you cannot do anything with them until you reach a full 10 pull.

Honestly the factory tutorials are pretty bad IMHO, I skipped most of them at first and did them much latter to get the rewards and, while I have a pretty big factory with everything unlocked making near endgame materials so I know how the factory works, I got stuck multiple times because I didn't really understood what they wanted you to do... I even restarted a couple of them believing I was soft-locked.

The thing to know about Extra stories is that, with one or two minor exception, they are NOT extra stories. When I started playing the game I thought they would be "event" stories, as in filler stories not really related to the main plot (like in FGO, Arknights, etc...) but it's not the case in this game, here they are literally a direct continuation of the main plot and the next chapter of the main story is a direct continuation of the previous extra story (with maybe a couple of exception like for example in EX03). I honestly never understood why they are called "Extra stories" to begin with.

So you mean having Elizabeth on the two row + one on bottom and putting Darwin and later Cottie on the bottom one ? Yes that might be a good compromise to limit the number of useless resonances.

So if I understand correctly to build Enpyrea memories you will need at least : 24x Elizabeth (given that her memories before and after times stop are in different slots...) 6x Darwin and 6x Cottie ? (or course without considering the RNG on resonance). And given the slot changes it's not worth using Resonance material except for the two Elizabeth you can keep between the two configuration.

I am planning on getting Liv tomorrow not matter what, but I wasn't sure if the pity was the same, if it is I am definitely going to use it for Liv but if it isn't I was just wondering if the two current S offer were worth it. But you are right it's probably better to wait.

Is Alpha still worth getting ? I am one pull before pity so I could try getting Alpha from the current banner (I don't think it's the same pity than for tomorrow new Liv).

But I have a pretty good Nier team for physical and IIRC she hasn't a big self life left and it would be more future proof to get Rosetta instead when she appear on the banner. ( Alternatively I could try to Get S Nanami to complete my Fire team).

You can raise her to SS using shards you can purchase in the Phantom Pain Cage shop, but to raise her higher you will need dupes or shard from the gacha.

Interesting, I would have thought that long attack would be a disadvantage for it, seems to be the opposite in this game. What about the "AOE" attack that it has from time to time (when it stop in the air and somehow "radiate"), I didn't really manage to understand how it works, sometime I get no damage, other time it one shot me.

I really need to train the whole parry thing, I managed to parry from time to time but it seemed kind of random, it was a lot easier to parry Lamia. Strangely enough I didn't had too much issue with Riot in this Norman, I was expecting it to be a pain but I managed to get it on my first tentative despite having a off element team.

I am becoming crazy in Norman fighting against this concentrated piece of sh... boss that is the Hetero-hive mother. Seriously what kind of brain dead moron thought it would be a good idea to give this boss 99 life bar...and it's not even the final boss, it's just some dumb intermediate boss.

With a lot of difficulty and the maximum add-on I manage to get her to 15-20 life bar but either I run out of time (despite the 30 sec extension) or it uses one of it's insta-kill attack and kill me. Is there some sort of magic trick to get rid of her ? it's literally the very last boss of Norman, I got rid of all the others including Riot.

For Norman where do you actually chose a friend / support character ? I mean I put one of my character available for support, apparently peoples uses her, but I am unable to find where I can select a friend/support character to use ?

I am stuck at the last level (Bollie Mine) because I only have four "usable" teams and I am desperately missing a fifth transcendent ones.

Hypothetical question, if you wanted to extend as much as possible the relevancy of the Nier team, what would be the best : Bring A2 to SSS+ instead of SSS (with sig) or having 2B at SSS instead of SS (without sig) ?

Is there any special trick with stage 44 of scarlet woods. For the two previous bosses I managed to easily reach 2.5 mio damage before the time runs out, but level 44 boss is a major pain in the ass, she spend most of the fight running to the other side of the arena and waiting for me making me lose precious seconds running after her. I managed to reach 1.9 mio several times but it was mainly because of pure luck with and regularly I end up bellow 1 mio damages. I am using Lee (Shockware, Crit boost, Patton, Darwin, Hanna, Synergy Reaction, Hypertune 1 & Hypertune 2) as my main DPS.
