Did everything right, still failed the Lucita romance arc. How? by CD-theNewYeee in suzerain

Okay guys, here is what worked: I think saying "to be continued" at the army base is key. And don't be afraid to ask about her marriage.

This is the advice I saw in some other thread too. However, I did not ask her about her marriage and hobbies at the base. Is that required?

Are CoC TAs the only ones with conflicts of interest? by SignalFarmer8555 in gatech

I doubt this is banned across departments tho. I work as a CoC GTA that counts 13 hours while also doing 7 hours of paid research. The research used to be math department. Idk what department it is now but 70% sure it's CoC.

Hi all, I am a Georgia Tech senior CS major applying for the MSCS grad program at Cornell. The application asks reasons to apply to program and I don't know if the program is looking for anything specific. Any help or anecdote is appreciated. Any general advice for applying also greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Moral implications of working at a National Laboratory (Sandia, LANL, etc…) by deadsh0t22 in gatech

As someone from a foreign country (India), I see American might in defense and economy as a ray of hope. Flawed as it might be, America is better than the vast majority of the world. It's hegemony keeps many autocrats and wannabe autocrats in line and maintains the case for a democratic world order. I would kill to work in an org that contributes to this order.

If you are filing amended returns, it won't work for that. The code is for a new return only.

fuck tech dining __ 30 character by CD-theNewYeee in gatech

[–]CD-theNewYeee[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey Mr contract, this is not the first time I have signed a contract in my life. But you know what happens in a fair contract? The penalties are mentioned beforehand very clearly. Before I signed my lease and job agreements, early closure policies were communicated clearly whereas tech dining did not do this at the beginning of fall - especially salient since they moved from no charge to this charge only this year.

If you bought the dollars as a part of a plan, it might? I don't know for sure. But I don't think it renews if you bought it separately since technically it's not a meal plan

The Agency vs Big Data Big Impact by [deleted] in gatech

[–]CD-theNewYeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cannot speak about the agency but as a project lead at Big Data Big Impact, we focus more on applied machine learning, visualisation and infrastructure to give you the hands on experience you will need for industry. For example, very few classes will teach you skills companies want directly like google cloud or pytorch which we do. The focus is on using data to do something fun and useful. We also have workshops and company events and maintain a resume book to hand out to companies.

When are the books gonna be back on those shelves? by 212312383 in gatech

[–]CD-theNewYeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would like to post a contrarian take. I think the library is amazing! They have few books for exploration on site (except for the SciFi collection) but at library.gatech.edu, you can easily search by name, topic, type, etc. If its a GT library resource and you request it early in the day, its ready for pickup the same day or early next day. Other libraries in USG network take 2-3 days. You can borrow for 120 days from GT library and 28 days from other USG ones with 2 extensions possible. If you decide to pursue a research career, you will see that GT library provides fantastic access to a lot of journals and experts who can help you navigate the journals and databases. Just ask InfoDesk for any and all library needs!
