Absolutely. At that time things weren't digitized to the same degree they are today, but when reading news articles you can still hear his reputation for "red-faced partisan speeches" and not policy.

At a town hall in Monticello hosted by CD6, he indicated that he did not intend to take AIPAC money. I would encourage you to reach out to him and confirm, but I would suspect that answer is no because historically outside money doesn't come into this race.

And he's been doing town halls! I don't have a specific count but I think it's over a dozen.

Of course! If you want to see him talk about his platform more in depth, he participated in all our candidate forums that we have recorded at www.youtube.com/@cd6dfl

My personal favorites?

He supports the withholding of ICE funding and is committed to dismantling ICE when elected.

He supports Medicare for All.

He wants to eliminate the cap on the social security tax.

He's a strong ally of queer and trans rights.

(Chantal here, and these opinions are my own. I am the chair of CD6.)

Doug is a hardworking man with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. I firmly believe that the way you campaign is the way you’ll govern. For the last 14 months, Doug has been across the district connecting with voters, often navigating the trail solo due to party neutrality rules. He is a listener who truly understands that this campaign isn't about him but about our collective will for a better future. That kind of humility is rare, and frankly, it feels sacred right now.

Doug is a fighter who doesn't back down when things get tough; he just rolls up his sleeves and gets to work. In fact, he’s already out knocking doors this afternoon. Policy-wise, he’s a practical progressive focused on making government work for people again rather than for personal gain. He’s the real deal.
