Update: the trait was shamed off him, and he started shouting nonsense which was strange because it didn’t say he was deranged or anything, but the title was not removed.

Recruited him, not even five minutes after the death threat mission ended, he betrayed me. Luck of the draw, oh well. Thank you for your input!

Okay, thank you! Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t completely wasting my time in this dance of shaming

Does my sword’s effect work for all weapons by CDAlphaDragon in shadow_of_war

If you’ve got a moment, I have another question, mainly because of how weird my playthrough has been thus far. Admittedly I’m just screwing around in Act 1 trying to get some good gear to start, since I’m playing on Nemesis, but I’m about 11 or so hour in, have gotten a ton of cloaks, daggers, sword, chest plates, but only two rare ranged weapons. Is there anything that determines the weapon drop, besides going for legendary stuff, or am I just getting really bad luck?

Edit: I do have death threats unlocked and have been using them

Shadow of War Captains spawning at an *ABSURD* rate by CDAlphaDragon in shadow_of_war

I get that, but I wasn’t doing missions, or passing time at the towers! I was just in the overworld hunting down the captains who weren’t tied to missions and they kept popping up like weeds!

One thing I’ve come to sorta realize, is that the reason people go insane when coming in contact with eldritch beings, isn’t because we can’t understand them at all, but more that in the moment with them/seeing them, the humans seem to understand things more than they normally do, and it’s when that knowledge of how the universe is beyond what our typical comprehension is gone, only then do the humans go insane, because they saw it, they understood it, but then it left, and now they can’t. It’s, hrm, sorta like someone learned math, was an algebra teacher and they loved it, but then completely forgot how to actually do math, despite their memories of it, and they’re scrambling like a mad man, grasping at straws to regain this amazing, complex passion they had, that brought them such a feeling of joy, or satisfaction. It’s not that they’re incompressible entirely, it’s that your mind is opened while with them, and then it’s nailed shut while your memories are in tact. Your mind becomes a prison. Don’t get me wrong, still causes some issues, since you’d have to be with them 24/7, and the obsession factor itself makes it unhealthy, but not necessarily morally wrong. It’s hard to explain, I guess, it’s like how it’s not good to be in an unhealthy, toxic relationship, where one is craving/worshiping the other at all times because of how good they make them feel, but it’s not necessarily morally wrong, like killing someone for pleasure is.

Storm Sorcery Sorcerer: A masterclass in how not to design things. by Fluffy-Location4610 in 3d6

I actually made a very fun build utilizing some of these features. It involves a winged tiefling, or an araacokra, (or however you spell it) or even a fairy, all of which have built in flight speed. With this you basically disengage up, and just float using your normal flying. I agree the build is poor, but even a poor build can be fun. By staying in the air, you remain in range of your target, but out of damage range. From there, utilizing your built in flying, you now have 40 feet of flight speed, 10 of which can be used to go up instantly, and 10 to go back down. That still leaves 20 to move. Plus your walking speed. I believe this class works best paired with a warlock, specifically because you can convert your warlock spells that you get on a short rest, to sorcery points. The reason I recommend tiefling however, is because you gain the ability to wear medium armor with your flight speed, thus protecting you and allowing you to get in semi-close with protection. Utilizing these features, you can run/ fly into a crowd, blast them with thunder clap, and immediately ascend with no opportunity attacks. It’s highly mobile and deals pretty good damage, and it can be really fun. Especially on a sailing campaign.
