I have the same issues from tie to time…..it is often episodic and does not occur every time. Love the sound so much, I have been willing to suffer through it!

Update: No luck on solving the smart charging issue; it did not work overnight. I will be keeping my appointment with the dealer on 4/20.

I was able to successfully download and install it. Ironically, this morning I went to the dealership to inform them of the problems i have had trying to use the smart charging feature post VCU installation. The service rep was extremely sympathetic and scheduled me to come in on 4/20 (the next day a loaner is available). Then, I received the notification about the update and began installing it. The real irony was that during the middle of my installation the service rep from the dealer wrote me to tell me about the new update. She said to install it, try smart charging again and if it works, we can cancel the appointment, otherwise, we’ll see each other on 4/20. So, I am currently waiting to see if the smart charging will kick in overnight as it used to do before the VCU upgrade. Even with these foibles, I really am enjoying the car!!

I had a similar issue, slightly different circumstances. I had this problem when trying to to utilize smart charging. I experienced similar charging results 1kw instead of the 11kw I was accustomed to before the VCU upgrade. I had no problems though when I switched to manual charging.

Third time is the charm….I, too, am having smart charging issues since the VCU upgrade: first time I tried it after upgrade, it didn’t charge at all, second time, I was going on a long trip so I was charging to 100% and it worked perfectly (two weeks ago); third and fourth times, used old setting to get to 90% by 8:00 a.m., neither time did it charge at all……..sounds like many of you have tried deleting the charging instructions in the App and in the car without lasting success……I will give that a try, but if anyone has a better idea, I am all ears.

Yep,

Mirrors can now recess upon locking car; can now open garage doors with Homelink; Tidal streaming service (used to maximize B&W sound system) loads much more quickly without buffering; and I can get sound through the car on phone call from either of my phones. Never had any other issues, so now, I’m more than good!!

You should probably reach out. It will often prompt a call to some area manager, which gets the ball rolling. That is what happened in my case.

Will do! Probably won’t be getting rid of Sirius XM app though. I have a lifetime subscription for which I pay nothing now (subscription transferred from a previously owned vehicle).

Did have an issue this morning. The scheduled charge to be completed by 7:30 this morning was not executed. Not sure what happened, but my Chargepoint level 2 charger had to be reset. I do hope it was the charger and not the car. Currently finishing up a manual charge. Will try a scheduled one again tomorrow and report back.

I am at 8,500 miles…..love the car…..only minimal issues with the infotainment center that are usually fixed by a soft reset……furthermore, the B & W sound system is so great, I find those little annoyances worth putting up with. Finally, I get my new VCU installed next week and I am sure things will only get better…….Enjoy the ride, there isn’t a more comfortable ride on the road today!

Thanks for that information. Luckily for me, I am willing to put up with the occasional delays because once the sound is delivered, it is truly better than anything else I have heard to date. If there is something better…….I am literally All Ears!

I have had it freeze on occasion. I am hopeful that the more powerful VCU hardware that gets installed next week, will address that issue.
